The Indian archery team has excelled at the World Championships, raising the nation’s flag high. The men’s compound team displayed exceptional marksmanship, accomplishing something unprecedented. In the Archery World Championships, India’s men’s compound team delivered a stunning performance. They not only demonstrated their skill but also secured the first gold medal in the compound team event, creating history.
India’s team, featuring Prathmesh, Aman, and Rishabh, defeated France 235-233 in the final match. The competition was intense and closely contested, with the outcome determined after four sets.
India’s team was behind 57-59 after the first set. The second set saw a tie at 117-117. The third set was also tied at 176-176, setting the stage for the final set. India scored 59 points in the fourth set, while France scored 57, resulting in India’s win with a score of 235-233.
In addition to the gold in the men’s compound team event, Rishabh Yadav also won a silver medal in the mixed event, partnering with Jyothi Surekha. The duo lost to the Netherlands with a score of 155-157.
