Saurabh Chaudhary and Suruchi Singh secured a bronze medal for India in the 10m air pistol mixed team event at the Asian Shooting Championship 2025. The competition took place in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, on August 20th. Despite a slow start, the Indian duo demonstrated resilience, ultimately overcoming their opponents to secure the bronze. This victory is a significant achievement, contributing to India’s medal tally, which now includes a silver and three bronze medals in the senior category. In the bronze medal match, they defeated the Chinese Taipei team of Heng Yu-Liu and Hsiang Chen-Hsieh with a score of 17-9. In the qualification round, the Indian pair ranked fifth, scoring 578 (20x), with Suruchi leading at 292 points and Saurabh following with 286. Suruchi’s qualification performance began with a perfect score, with subsequent scores of 94 and 98 in the following rounds. Chaudhary’s series scores were 95, 96 and 95. Palak Gulia and Aditya Malra, another Indian team, were unable to advance to the medal rounds, placing tenth in the qualification with a score of 575 (20x).
