These 5 big changes will be seen in IPL 2025
Maximum 6 players will be retained
According to the new retention, franchises can retain a maximum of 6 players from their existing squad. In this, 1 player will be added through right to match. Any foreigner or Indian can be included in these 6 players. It is true that teams can retain only a maximum of 5 capped players and a maximum of 2 uncapped players.
75 crores will have to be spent to retain 5 players
Teams will have to spend Rs 75 crore to retain 5 players. 2 players can be worth Rs 18-18 crore, 2 players can be worth Rs 14-14 crore and one player can be worth Rs 11 crore. This time the purse limit of the teams has been increased to Rs 120 crore, last time it was Rs 100 crore.
Rs 5 lakh will be given separately for each match
A player playing a match in IPL will now get Rs 5 lakh separately. This will be given in addition to their salary. BCCI has announced this. This is going to happen for the first time in the history of IPL. This will benefit uncapped players, whom teams buy at low base prices.
uncapped player rules
The uncapped player rule is going to be implemented. Under which those players will come who have been playing IPL even after 5 years of their retirement from international cricket. Now such players will be considered uncapped. In such a situation, players with salaries worth crores will be shocked, because under this rule the maximum fee has been kept at Rs 4 crore. Dhoni will fall in this category, who gets Rs 12 crores.
Effect of Right to Match card will be visible
Right to Match card is going to be implemented. Every team will get 1-1 RTM. Which she can use during the auction. By combining this, teams can retain a maximum of 6 players. In such a situation, MI can retain Rohit for Rs 10 crore by using RTM card.
