He played a quick innings of 70 runs off just 39 balls against Welsh Fire, including 6 fours and 5 sixes. His performance helped Southern Brave to score 167 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their 100 balls. Roy, who previously played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, scored his first half-century of the season. Besides Roy, Leus du Plooy contributed 30 runs off 21 balls. David Payne and Riley Meredith from Welsh Fire took two wickets each. Welsh Fire’s chase got off to a poor start.
