Mithun Manhas, a former cricketer, is likely to be appointed as the new BCCI President. Currently serving as an administrator for the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, Manhas previously held the role of convener for the North Zone in the Duleep Trophy and was also part of the support staff for the IPL franchise Gujarat Titans. Manhas’s name has emerged as a surprise contender for the BCCI presidency. This appointment would mark a historic moment as an uncapped cricketer takes charge of the BCCI. He would be succeeding Roger Binny, who is stepping down due to the age limit of 70 years. Before Binny, Sourav Ganguly was the BCCI president. Manhas would become the third cricketer to lead the BCCI.
