Indian javelin star Neeraj Chopra triumphed at the Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025, held in Bengaluru, with a winning throw of 86.18 meters. The competition, hosted at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium, saw Kenya’s Julius Yego secure second place, and Sri Lanka’s Rumesh Pathirage take third. Chopra’s initial attempt was a foul, but he quickly rebounded with an 82.99-meter throw in the second round. He then achieved his winning distance in the third round, leading to his ultimate victory. The fifth-round throw of 84.07 meters secured the win. The event was a joint effort by JSW Sports and Neeraj Chopra, which had a great atmosphere thanks to the fans. International athletes competed, including Curtis Thompson, Martin Konecny, and Thomas Roehler. Notable absences included Anderson Peters of Grenada and India’s Kishore Jena, and Arshad Nadeem, due to various reasons.
