A fiery half-century from Sahibzada Farhan headlined Pakistan’s 190 for 9 against USA, imposing a steep 191-run chase in the T20 World Cup 2026 Group Stage at Colombo’s Sinhalese Sports Club.
After USA’s Monank Patel won the toss and bowled first, Pakistan openers Saim Ayub (19 off 17, 2 sixes, 1 four) and Farhan forged ahead to 54/1 in 5.1 overs. Quick losses of Salman Ali Agha (1 off 3) followed, but Farhan and Babar Azam rebuilt with 81 runs for the third wicket, reaching 137/3.
Babar’s 46 (32 balls) was classy, but Farhan stole the show with 73 off 41 (6 fours, 5 sixes), out at 143/4. Shadab Khan’s explosive 30 off 12 balls (4 fours, 1 six) boosted the total.
Shadley van Schalkwyk led USA’s attack with a superb 4/25. Mohammad Mohsin, Harmeet Singh, Saurabh Netravalkar took one each; two run-outs and 6 extras completed the card.
