The dynamics of the India-Pakistan rivalry in the 2025 Asia Cup are becoming increasingly complex. After a previous match saw Indian players declining to shake hands with Pakistan’s team, the PCB registered a formal complaint with the ICC. The Pakistan team has again chosen to skip the pre-match press conference, raising questions. This follows a similar incident during their game against the UAE. The consistent absence from press engagements could lead to sanctions for the Pakistani side. Mohsin Naqvi, Chairman of the PCB, offered a brief response, saying, “We’ll talk soon,” when questioned about the team’s press conference absence.
