Paris Olympics 2024: Money rained on Indian athletes who won medals in Paris Olympics! Hockey team became rich, know who got how much money

Paris Olympics 2024: This time Indian athletes did not perform as expected in the Maha Kumbh of sports i.e. Olympics. This time India finished 71st with five bronze medals apart from Neeraj Chopra’s only silver. With the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games on August 11 in Paris, the process of players returning to their homeland has started. Their countries have opened the treasury for the players who defeated world class players in Paris and hoisted their flag.

In such a situation, this question arises in everyone’s mind that how much money do the athletes who win medals in the Olympics get. Let us tell you that the Olympics does not give any cash reward to the athletes along with the medal.

Let us tell you that Olympic athletes are not given any cash reward directly, but the governments and ministries of various states in India provide them with big cash awards. Manu Bhaker won two bronze medals in shooting at Paris 2024—one individual and the other in the mixed team event with Sarabjot Singh. For this, Manu got a reward of Rs 30 lakh, while Sarabjot was given Rs 22.5 lakh. Swapnil Kusale, who won a bronze medal in the 50m rifle 3 position final, was given a reward of Rs 1 crore by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

The Indian men’s hockey team defeated Spain to win the bronze medal, for which Hockey India has given a cash reward of Rs 15 lakh to each team member and Rs 7.5 lakh to the support staff. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Manjhi announced a cash reward of Rs 4 crore to defender Amit Rohidas and Rs 15 lakh to each player of the team, as well as Rs 10 lakh to the support staff. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced a cash reward of Rs 1 crore to each hockey squad member of the state.

However, no cash prize has been announced yet for Neeraj Chopra, who won the silver medal in men’s javelin throw, and Aman Sehrawat, who won the bronze medal in wrestling, but it is expected that the reward for them will be announced soon.
