Phil Salt, the explosive opener for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), played a crucial role in their IPL 2025 victory. His outstanding performance continued in ‘The Hundred’ tournament. Salt has etched his name in history by becoming the first male cricketer to score 1000 runs in ‘The Hundred’ league. He achieved this milestone in just 37 innings. Prior to this, Salt had also crossed the 1000-run mark in the IPL. Representing Manchester Originals, Salt reached the milestone during a match against Oval Invincibles, contributing 41 runs. After reaching 1000 runs, Salt hit a colossal 103-meter six off Saqib Mahmood’s bowling.
