The Assam Cricket Association has declared Riyan Parag as the captain of the senior men’s team for the Dr. (Capt.) K. Thimmappa Memorial Cricket Tournament. The tournament, commencing on September 4th, will feature 20 players representing the Assam team. Alongside Riyan Parag, the team boasts a blend of seasoned players and young talent. The squad will see participation from Danish Das, Swarupam Purkayastha, and Subhankar Roy, alongside emerging talents. Additional players include Abhishek Thakuri, Mukund Hussain, Anurag Talukdar, and Amlanjyoti Das. The coaching staff includes Noel David as coach and manager, Rajib Ranjansri as physio, Bhesham Pratap Singh as trainer, and Rajesh Sharma as video analyst. Riyan Parag is also selected in the East Zone team for the Duleep Trophy 2025. Riyan Parag also led Rajasthan Royals in some matches of the IPL this year. The Duleep Trophy 2025 will commence on August 28th.
