Nat Sciver-Brunt, the captain of the England women’s cricket team, has been ruled out of the ongoing T20I series against India due to a groin injury. The injury occurred during the third T20I in Bristol, forcing her to retire mid-innings. According to the ECB, the injury involves a strain to her left groin. She will not participate in the remaining T20I matches. However, there is a possibility of her return for the ODI series, scheduled to commence on July 16th. Tammy Beaumont will step in as captain in her absence, and Maia Bouchier has been called up to replace Sciver-Brunt. India currently leads the five-match series 2-1.
