The Pakistan squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025, starting September 9th, has been announced. Salman Ali Agha is set to lead the team. The biggest news is the absence of key players Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. The selected squad consists of: Salman Ali (C), Abrar, Faheem, Fakhar, Rauf, Hasan Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Talat, Khushdil Shah, Haris (WK), Nawaz, Waseem Jnr, Farhan, Saim Ayub, Salman Mirza, Shaheen, and Sufyan Moqim. This selection follows the recent ODI series where the West Indies defeated Pakistan, winning the series 2-1. In the final match, West Indies triumphed with a 202-run victory, as Pakistan was unable to chase down a target of 295, getting all out at 92 runs. Saim Ayub, Abdullah Shafique, Mohammad Rizwan, and Abrar Ahmed were dismissed without scoring. Salman Ali Agha scored 30 runs. Babar Azam’s poor form continued, scoring just 9 runs and extending his streak without a century to 72 innings.
