In a surprising move, the Indian cricket team will enter the Asia Cup 2025 without a jersey sponsor. The announcement came to light when Shivam Dube posted pictures of the new India jersey on social media. The jersey features only the word “INDIA” and the Asia Cup 2025 tournament logo, with the usual sponsor space left blank. This is a result of the previous sponsorship deal with Dream11 ending. The BCCI is currently in the process of finding a new sponsor and has invited applications. To ensure a smooth transition, the BCCI has outlined specific guidelines and prohibited categories for potential sponsors. India is set to compete in Group A of the Asia Cup, facing off against Pakistan, UAE, and Oman. Their first match is scheduled for September 10 against the UAE. This could be a temporary situation while a new sponsor is sought, or perhaps a strategic decision by the BCCI to set new standards for commercial partnerships. The focus will be on the team’s performance during the tournament.
