Tottenham has made the decision to replace Ange Postecoglou with Brentford’s Thomas Frank. Postecoglou’s time with the club ended just over two weeks after winning the Europa League. The club’s leadership felt that their performance in the league needed improvement, leading to the decision to let Postecoglou go. The previous season saw Tottenham barely avoid relegation, finishing in the lower reaches of the league standings. Tottenham’s statement regarding Postecoglou highlighted his accomplishments, including securing a European trophy. The statement indicated that the board believed a change was needed to improve the club’s competitiveness. The club’s performance in the Premier League declined after a promising start, compounded by injuries and their European campaign. The club acknowledged that the Europa League victory was a high point. Thomas Frank has been managing Brentford FC since October 2018, with a record of 136 wins, 71 draws, and 110 losses in 317 games. Before Brentford, Frank held various coaching roles within youth national teams and Bröndby IF.
