The recent F1 movie has become a global box office sensation, earning an impressive INR 4,800 crore worldwide since its June 27 release, with expectations of surpassing INR 5,000 crore. Capitalizing on its success, the film was re-released in early August, continuing its strong performance.
The film, helmed by Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski, features Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a former Formula 1 driver who makes a comeback after a career-ending crash in the 1990s. Hayes aims to rebuild a failing F1 team. The cast includes Damson Idris, Javier Bardem, Kerry Condon, and Tobias Menzies, with Lewis Hamilton and Jerry Bruckheimer as producers.
Fans eager to watch the movie online can look forward to its availability. The film will be available for rent on Amazon Prime Video from August 22. It is also slated to stream on Apple TV+, likely between late September and early October, although the official streaming date has not been announced.
Even with the upcoming digital release, the F1 movie is still playing in select theaters. In Mumbai, screenings are available at PVR ICON Goregaon, Phoenix Palladium, Metro INOX, and Infiniti Andheri. In Delhi-NCR, it can be viewed at Cinepolis Saket, PVR Noida, and Director’s Cut, Ambience Mall, in formats like Onyx and Dolby. Additionally, limited screenings are being held in Bengaluru at Garuda Mall and Forum Rex Walk.
