  • OnePlus 13 Official Launch Date Confirmed; Check Expected Specs, Price |

    OnePlus 13 Launch: Chinese electronic manufacturer OnePlus has officially confirmed the launch date of the OnePlus 13 smartphone in China. The company will launch the smartphone in China at 4 PM on October 31. However, the company hasn’t cleared the official India launch date of the smartphone. 

    The OnePlus 13 will be available in three different colours: White Dawn, Obsidian Black and Blue Moment. However, the new flagship entry has a design similar to its predecessor, OnePlus 12. 

    The phone is expected to feature the first smartphone to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Hence, the processor is likely to outperform the iPhone 16 Pro’s A18 Pro processor in some benchmarks. 

    OnePlus 13 Price (Expected)

    OnePlus 13 is tipped to be launching at a price of CNY 5,299 (Roughly around Rs 62,627) for the 16GB RAM+512GB storage variant, which would amount to a CNY 500 (Roughly around Rs 5,911) or a 10.4% hike from the OnePlus 12 which was launched at CNY 4,799 (Rs 56,733) for the same variant. 

    OnePlus 13 Specifications (Expected)

    It is expected to boast a 6.8-inch BOE X2 LTPO AMOLED display, offering a peak brightness of 6,000 nits, and 1,600 nits in high brightness mode (HBM), ensuring excellent visibility in all lighting conditions. The handset could be powered by a 6,000mAh battery, combined with an IP68/69 rating for superior water and dust resistance. 

    The phone is likely to integrate the latest Hasselblad imaging system alongside the second-generation BOE X2 display, with the addition of an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for enhanced security.

    The camera setup is equally impressive, featuring a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. These lenses, along with an LED flash unit, are arranged symmetrically in a square formation, which is ideal for photography enthusiasts. 

    The may run on ColorOS 15-based Android 15, the OnePlus 13 is also expected to include a 0916T vibration motor, further enhancing the user experience.

    Android 15 Features: Google has officially rolled out the latest version of its mobile operating system Android 15 for Pixel phones and tablets. The update began rolling out to Pixel phones from the Pixel 6 series and newer. Notably, the latest operating system (OS) was globally released on September 3.

    Moreover, Google has announced a range of upgrades and new features that will be coming to its Pixel devices, including its phones, smartwatches, earbuds, and tablets, apart from the rollout of Android 15. Apart from this, the tech giant has also announced a list of new features coming to Pixels as part of the October Pixel Drop. 

    With the latest Android 15 upgrade, the pixel devices come with a design changes, a new theft detection lock, private space, and more. Furthermore, Android 15 also includes exclusive functionality for foldable smartphones and devices along with improvements for the camera and authentication.     Android 15 Features: 

    -The Anti-Theft Detection Lock feature automatically locks the phone if it detects suspicious activity, such as the removal of the SIM card.

    -The Predictive Back Gesture provides users with a preview of the screen or app they will return to when using the back gesture, reducing navigation confusion.

    -Android 15 improves multitasking by allowing users to pin apps or app pairs in the taskbar, enhancing app management on foldable screens.

    -Camera upgrades include Low Light Boost and in-app controls that improve photography, especially in challenging lighting conditions.

    -Satellite Connectivity will be available on eligible devices, allowing users to send emergency messages via satellite in situations where traditional networks are unavailable.

    October Pixel Drop- What’s New 

    -Users can now use Gemini to find specific screenshots within the Pixel Screenshots app through the AI assistant interface.

    -Devices can automatically detect when the camera is being used underwater and enable an Underwater Photography mode for enhanced performance.

    -Night Sight integration allows Pixel smartphone users to take low-light pictures directly within the Instagram app. 

    -The Audio Magic Eraser feature reduces distracting sounds in your videos.

    How To Install Android 15 On Google Pixel Devices 

    Step 1: Go to the Settings app on your eligible Pixel device and select the System menu.

    Step 2: Within the System menu, scroll down and select Software updates.

    Step 3: Select the System update option and tap on Check for update at the bottom right of the screen.

    Step 4: If the Android 15 update is available, tap on the Download and Install option and follow the instructions.

    Step 5: Your Pixel may restart automatically to install the update.

  • Vivo, iQOO Launch Funtouch OS 15 With AI Features In India; iQOO 12 Becomes First Smartphone With Android 15 |

    Funtouch OS 15 Update India: Chinese smartphone brands Vivo and iQOO have started rolling out the Android 15-based Funtouch OS 15 Update in India. The new Funtouch OS 15 update brings new algorithms, enhanced animations and effects along with artificial intelligence (AI) features which aim to improve the user experience along with the device’s overall experience.

    The latest update enables users to personalize their devices with more than 3,800 design elements, including system colours, fonts, icons, and wallpapers. Moreover, the new features include customisable app icon styles and adjustable icon shapes and sizes.

    Notably, the companies have become one of the first original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to introduce Android 15 on their handsets, leaving behind tech giants such as Samsung and Google. 

    The company has unveiled the full list of devices in India set to receive the beta update, with the rollout starting in mid-October 2024 and continuing through May 2025. 

    Key Features Of Funtouch OS 15 Update:

    -A new scheduling algorithm, ‘Priority Scheduling,’ has been introduced to improve app opening speed by up to 15% during heavy usage.

    -It uses an optimized zRAM compression algorithm, increasing compression speed by 40% and reducing GPU memory usage for background apps.

    -Animated effects have been added to system interactions, with over 700 touch scenarios optimized for smoother and more responsive performance.

    -The Lightning-Speed Engine aims to enhance app opening speed further, targeting a 20% improvement. 

    iQOO FuntouchOS 15 Rollout 

    According to the company, the Funtouch OS 15 update will be available for download on the iQOO 12. Hence, the iQOO 12 became the first smartphone to get Android 15, followed by the iQOO 11 in November. It is important to note that the other phones from the brand will receive the update in the coming weeks and months.  

    Vivo FuntouchOS 15 Rollout  

    Vivo is set to begin the Funtouch OS 15 rollout in mid-October 2024, starting with the Vivo X100, Vivo X100 Pro, and Vivo X Fold3 Pro. The V series will follow in mid-December 2024, while the Y series and T series will receive the update between mid-February and mid-June 2025.

    Made By Google Event 2024: Google has confirmed the date of the ‘Made By Google Event’ with speculation to unveil the upcoming Pixel 9 series. The event is scheduled to take place on August 13 at the company’s headquarters with a keynote in Mountain View, California. The event will begin at 10 AM PT and 10:30 PM IST.

    Notably, the company also hosted a dedicated microsite on Google Store. This has surprised all the tech fans, as the event date is much earlier than Google’s traditional schedule.”.     Made By Google Event: What To Expect?

    Adding further, Google might be aiming to capture consumer attention with its upcoming Pixel devices and Gemini AI features ahead of Apple’s new iPhones and the stable iOS 18 release with Apple Intelligence. Therefore, we may see the launch of new Pixel hardware (such as the Pixel 9 series), the stable version of Android 15, and updates to Gemini AI at this event.
