In Chhattisgarh, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had released the first list of candidates last month. Party sources have said that next week BJP is going to release the second list in which the names of 69 candidates will be announced. Assembly elections are to be held in many states by the end of the year. In such a situation, the same plan that BJP has made for Madhya Pradesh can be implemented in Chhattisgarh also. Let us understand its meaning…
BJP’s plan in MP
BJP has so far released two lists in Madhya Pradesh. Names of 39 candidates each have been announced in both. In the second list, BJP announced the names of some such people that many things started happening inside and outside the party. A leader close to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan even said that it cannot be told who will be the next CM. Actually, BJP has fielded four MPs, three Union Ministers and National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya in MP.
Similar bet in Chhattisgarh also
Chhattisgarh BJP President Arun Sao said regarding ticket distribution that the party will give tickets to the most deserving candidates who can win the elections. He said that ‘screening of candidates will be finalized soon and the party will field such candidates who will get the support of workers and voters.’ According to party sources, six MPs will be fielded in the state. The name of MP Vijay Baghel has been announced in the first list. In the second list, a total of five more MPs including Arun Sao, Raipur MP Sunil Soni and Union Minister Renuka Singh can be fielded.
One plan in both states
BJP has decided to field many veterans in the election field in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Recently, Kailash Vijayvargiya had told in an interview that the party has taken this decision in MP because the veterans who have been fielded have never lost elections. BJP has not even announced the CM face in MP. After the release of the second list, a party source said that CM Shivraj was surprised to see the names of the candidates. In such a situation, even in Chhattisgarh, BJP has not announced the CM face. It is noteworthy that there is a Congress government in Chhattisgarh. BJP wants to give a tough competition to Congress by fielding many national level leaders and veterans in the elections. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see to which party the public hands over the CM’s chair.
