    New Delhi: Vivo sub-brand iQOO has confirmed the specifications of the iQOO Z9 5G smartphone, including display, design, and chipset details. The iQOO Z9 5G is scheduled to launch on March 12 in India. This will be the company’s second smartphone launch in 2024.

    The smartphone will be available in Brushed Green and Graphene Blue colour options. With the launch just a week away, both Amazon and iQOO India have created dedicated microsites on their websites to tease the arrival of the iQoo Z9 5G smartphone.

    The smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset, promising enhanced performance and efficiency. The newly launched smartphone will also feature a vibrant 120Hz AMOLED display, complete with a 300Hz touch sampling rate and an impressive peak brightness of 1,800 nits.

    The iQoo Z9 5G will be loaded with a 5,000mAh battery, providing ample juice to keep you connected throughout the day. In terms of performance, the smartphone has showcased remarkable capabilities, achieving a score of 734,000 points on the AnTuTu benchmarking website. In design, the smartphone will sport flat edges and a sleek brushed pattern at the back, lending it a sophisticated and modern aesthetic.     In the camera department, the phone is equipped with an ‘Aspherical premium lens’.     New Delhi: The iQOO Neo 9 Pro, which was introduced in China in December 2023 alongside the vanilla iQOO Neo 9, will make its debut in India on February 22. The smartphone will be available for sale via Amazon and through iQOO India’s online store. Ahead of the official launch, the price of one of the variants of the iQOO Neo 9 Pro has leaked.

    A tipster has shared a product image on X (formerly Twitter) which shows the price of the smartphone. For the 8GB + 256GB variant, the price is listed at Rs 37,999. Moreover, the effective price of this variant can go down to Rs 34,999 after a bank offer of Rs 3,000. Previous reports suggest that the phone will be priced in India at under Rs. 40,000 for the second variant.

    In the camera department, the smartphone features a 50MP main camera with OIS support and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. However, the Amazon listing doesn’t provide any details about the selfie camera that will be packed with the smartphone.

    Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi’s Xiaomi 14 series will be launched on October 26. Earlier, the company has given information about the design and some specifications of Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro. Xiaomi 14 will have a 6.36 inch display with minimal bezels. The company has also shared camera samples of this smartphone on the Chinese messaging platform Weibo. Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro will be provided with a Leica tuned rear camera unit and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC as processor. Xiaomi 14, the base model of this series, will have a 6.36 inch Huaxing C8 LTPO AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, 460 ppi pixel density and adaptive refresh rate up to 120 Hz. Its peak brightness will be 3,000 nits. This smartphone will be made available in Rock Blue, Snow Mountain Pink and Classic Black colors. There is an improvement in the images in the camera samples given by Xiaomi. It will have a 75 mm telephoto lens. Xiaomi 14 series will have HyperOS operating system. Earlier, some leaks had suggested that Xiaomi 14 will have a 4,600 mAh battery with support for 90 W wired charging and 50 W wireless charging. The Xiaomi 14 Pro may pack a 4,860 mAh battery with support for 120 W wired fast charging and 50 W wireless charging. The company has planned to increase sales from retail stores in India. For the last few years, Xiaomi has been focusing on e-commerce websites. After lagging behind South Korea’s Samsung, Xiaomi is trying to increase its smartphone sales. There are more than 60 crore smartphone users in the country. However, online’s share in smartphone sales is 44 percent. Retail stores contribute significantly to these sales. Data from market research firm Counterpoint shows that only 34 percent of the company’s total sales this year came from retail stores. In comparison, Samsung’s offline sales are about 57 percent. In the third quarter of the current year, Xiaomi has secured second position in the country’s smartphone market with about 18 percent market share. It has benefited from launching affordable 5G smartphones. South Korean consumer electronics company Samsung has retained its first position in this market.

    Chinese smartphone maker Realme may soon launch a new smartphone with periscope telephoto camera. It could be Realme GT 5 Pro or a mid-range smartphone. Recently the company launched Realme GT 5av in China. However, it is not known whether the smartphone will be brought this year or not. The company has given the teaser of the new smartphone. It has a round camera module. It shows two camera rings and a rectangular unit, which could be a periscope zoom camera. It is being said that Realme is working on a more powerful device. This could be the company’s first smartphone with a periscope telephoto camera. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 can be given as processor in it. Recently, tipster Digital Chat Station had said in a post on messaging platform Weibo that Realme is preparing to launch a mid-range smartphone. Periscope telephoto camera can be found in it. It is likely to have better capability for photography. For the first time, the company has provided a periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom in the iPhone 15 Pro Max of the iPhone 15 series launched last week by American devices maker Apple. Earlier this month, Realme launched Narzo 60x. This smartphone has a 50 megapixel primary camera. The price of 4 GB + 128 GB variant of Realme Narzo 60x is Rs 12,999 and 6 GB + 128 GB is Rs 14,499. This smartphone has been made available in green and black colors. Realme Narzo 60x sports a 6.72-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It has octacore MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ 5G. Its 5,000 mAh battery supports 33 W fast charging. Its rear camera setup has a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It has an 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls. Realme sales have increased rapidly in the last few years. The company is getting strong demand in the mid-range segment of smartphones.

    Chinese smartphone maker Redmi’s Note 13 series will be launched on September 21. This may include Redmi Note 13, Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro+. A 200-megapixel primary camera will be provided in Redmi Note 13 Pro+ of this sub-brand of Chinese consumer electronics company Xiaomi. The company has shared camera samples of this smartphone on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo. Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC will be provided as processor in it. This mid-range chipset of Qualcomm is based on 4 nm process. It has an eight-core CPU based on four performance cores and four efficiency units of 1.95 GHz. Redmi Note 13 Pro+ will have MediaTek’s 4 nm Dimensity 7200 Ultra SoC. The Redmi Note 13 series will have IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro+ will have 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP3 Discovery Edition camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). The camera samples of Redmi Note 13 Pro+ show improvements from the new image sensor. Four different filters Forest Green, Negative, Vivid and Warm Green will be provided in its camera unit. Recently Redmi has launched the tablet Pad SE in Europe. It has Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 Mobile Platform SoC. It is available in three storage and color options. Its 8,000 mAh battery supports 10 W wired charging. Its design is similar to Redmi Note 12 series. Its 4 GB + 128 GB variant is priced at 199 Euro (approximately Rs 18,000), 6 GB + 128 GB is priced at 229 Euro (approximately Rs 20,800) and 8 GB + 128 GB variant is priced at 249 Euro (approximately Rs 22,600). It will be made available in graphite grey, lavender purple and mint green colours. It sports an 11-inch full HD+ (1900 x 1200 pixels) LCD display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a peak brightness of 400 nits. Redmi Pad SE has an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel sensor on the front. Its 8,000 mAh battery supports 10 W wired charging. It has a 3.5 mm audio jack. For a better audio experience, it has quad speakers with support for Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res.
