  • Congress MLA in Chhattisgarh expressed his desire to contest elections from BJP, put a condition

Chhattisgarh Election 2023:Congress canceled the ticket of its sitting MLA Chintamani Maharaj from Balrampur, Chhattisgarh. Congress has given ticket to Vijay Paikra from this seat. After being denied ticket from Congress, Chintamani has expressed his desire to contest elections from BJP. Maharaj has put a condition for this. Maharaj said that he would like to contest the elections if BJP gives him a ticket from Ambikapur against TS Singhdev. Along with this, Maharaj has claimed that Congress is ready to give him Lok Sabha ticket in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Maharaj is currently the MLA from Samari seat in Balrampur district. This time Congress has canceled his ticket. Congress has fielded Vijay Paikra from this seat, while Balrampur District Panchayat member Udeshwari Paikra is the BJP candidate. On the sidelines of the religious programme, Aggarwal and Sai were seen discussing with the Maharaj.

    What is the condition?

Talking to reporters after the program, Maharaj said that BJP is ready to field him in the Lok Sabha elections in 2024 but he has put a condition of contesting the assembly elections from Ambikapur next month. He said that BJP leaders had come to attend the program during which the 31-feet tall statue of Maa Kali was unveiled. Maharaj said that they (BJP leaders) also said that it would be good if I join them. I have placed a condition that if they agree to field me from Ambikapur, I will consider (joining BJP). However, he said that those who are preparing from Ambikapur seat (from BJP) will get upset. They are ready to field me in the Lok Sabha elections.

Maharaj claimed that he has told BJP leaders that he will vacate the Ambikapur seat after six months and contest the Lok Sabha elections. He said that those (BJP leaders) who want to contest elections now, can be fielded from there (if by-elections are held). If they are ready to accept this condition then I will also consider (joining BJP). The BJP has not yet announced a candidate for the Ambikapur seat, which is currently represented by senior Congress leader T S Singh Deo. He has been made a candidate again from this seat.

Voting for the ninety-member Chhattisgarh Assembly will be held in two phases on November 7 and 17. Samri and Ambikapur are among the 70 seats that will go to polls in the second phase. Counting of votes will take place on December 3. Maharaj is the son of prominent social worker late Sant Rameshwar Gahira Guru, who had considerable influence in northern Chhattisgarh, especially for his work among the tribals. When asked about the discussion with Maharaj, Brijmohan Aggarwal said that whatever happened to Chintamani Maharaj ji is injustice to him. He is sad (indirectly after the ticket cancellation) and we have come to share his pain. Asked who would do justice, the BJP leader said that since Maharaj is in the Congress, it will do justice to him. Aggarwal avoided reporters’ questions regarding the pre-conditions put by Maharaj for joining the BJP.

  • State President of BJP-Congress in the election field, Arun Sao and Deepak Baij will contest from this seat.

Chhattisgarh Assembly Election 2023: Chhattisgarh Assembly elections are becoming very interesting. The main rivals, the ruling Congress and the BJP, are both fielding powerful leaders in the elections this time. If we look at the list of candidates, both the parties seem to have an equal upper hand. After fielding the MP in the state, the parties have also made their respective state presidents as candidates. Both are currently sitting MPs and have been given tickets by sidelining the MLAs.

Congress has made Deepak Baij its candidate from Chitrakot in Bastar. Deepak Baij is currently the Chief of State Congress Committee and MP from Bastar Lok Sabha. Whereas Bharatiya Janata Party has made Arun Sao its candidate from Lormi seat. Arun Saav is also the state BJP president and Lok Sabha MP from Bilaspur.

When Bharatiya Janata Party gave tickets to four sitting MPs in Chhattisgarh, Congress leaders taunted that the party did not have leaders in the state. But after the list came, it has become clear that now Congress is also moving on the same path. The most interesting thing is the MPs fielded by BJP and Congress. The MLAs there have been put on the side first. Congress has made MP Deepak Baij its candidate from Chitrakote Assembly. The ticket of Congress MLA Rajman Benjamin has been canceled there. Arun Sao is the MP from Bilaspur. BJP has made him the candidate from Lormi assembly seat. Current MLA Dharamjit Singh has been given ticket from Takhatpur Assembly.

Taunts and political meaning on tickets to MPs

Let us tell you that the current Lormi MLA Dharamjit Singh has left Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (Jogi)- JCCJ and joined BJP. BJP, which gives opportunity to MPs, first changed the candidates and then the candidate was made from there. Congress canceled the ticket of the MLA and BJP has fielded the sitting MLA from another seat. Both the parties have made the elections interesting by fielding MPs and current state presidents from different areas. Many political meanings are also being inferred from this. Leaders of both the parties are calling this decision a guarantee of victory. At the same time, Congress and BJP leaders are also taunting each other.

Congress followed the path of BJP, ticket to MP in the first list; removed from this seat

More women get a chance in the second list

On being made the candidate from Chitrakote, MP Deepak Baij told the media that the decision of the party’s high command is paramount. The workers will win the elections. Being the state president, apart from the 12 seats of Bastar, I am also responsible for other assembly constituencies. On giving place to four women candidates in the first list of Congress and canceling the tickets of three women MLAs, he said that the number of women will not reduce. Let the second list come and women power will get a chance. Our in-charge Kumari Selja has also said that there will be good participation of women in this election.

Bhupesh government attacked the MLAs: Arun Sao

On the first list of Congress, BJP state president Arun Sao said that the Congress party is pretending to be Sanatan lovers by releasing the list on the first day of Navratri. Whereas the Congress Party has done the work of hating Sanatan lovers. Congress has had to cancel the tickets of 8 of its MLAs, which proves that the Bhupesh government has done nothing for the people of the state and is trying to put the blame on the MLAs. He said that by making those who patronize corruption candidates again, Congress has shown that they would like to indulge in corruption in future also.

  • As soon as the list came, factionalism started, demand to change BJP candidate from Jashpur; workers are adamant

Chhattisgarh Polls: The political temperature is high regarding the assembly elections in Chhattisgarh. The main rivals in the state, BJP and Congress, have also started ticket allotment. After the list of candidates came out, the turmoil within the party has also intensified. Supporters of senior BJP leader and former minister Ganesh Ram Bhagat have been protesting outside the party’s state office in Raipur since Saturday evening to change the party candidate from Jashpur assembly constituency.

Jashpur seat is currently held by Congress MLA Vinay Kumar Bhagat. Voting on this seat will be held in the second phase on November 17. On this seat reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates, BJP has fielded Raimuni Bhagat, a woman member of Jashpur District Panchayat. Unhappy with his candidature, BJP workers and supporters of former five-time MLA Ganesh Ram Bhagat reached Raipur in three buses on Saturday and sat on a dharna outside the party’s state office Kushabhau Thackeray complex.

Rakesh Gupta, a BJP protester from Jashpur, said while talking to the media on Sunday, ‘We are sad that a senior leader like Ganesh Ram Bhagat is being ignored. He has been at the forefront of the movement in the interest of tribals, against religious conversion and cow slaughter in Jashpur in northern Chhattisgarh, but Raimuni Bhagat did nothing.” He claimed that even the Urao, Nageshia and Pahari Korwa tribal groups had opposed Raimuni. Objection has been raised to Bhagat’s candidature.

Party workers and local people including women from Jashpur have come here at their own expense in support of Ganesh Ram ji and are demanding the removal of Raimuni Bhagat. Until we get positive assurance from the party leadership, we will continue our protest outside the party office, Gupta said.

200 protesters are protesting outside the BJP office. On Saturday night they slept at the protest site itself. Senior BJP MLA and former minister Brijmohan Aggarwal and party’s state general secretary (organisation) Pawan Sai tried to pacify the protesters but they continued the protest.

State President of BJP-Congress in the election field, Arun Sao and Deepak Baij will contest from this seat.

On this entire episode, Ganesh Ram Bhagat said that his supporters are protesting on their own and he does not support it. He said, however, that everyone is free to put forward their demands and the party leadership should pay attention to them. should give.

The Election Commission has announced the schedule of assembly elections in Chhattisgarh. Voting will be held in the state in two phases – November 7 and November 17. Counting will take place on December 3. Both Congress and BJP parties in the state have so far released one list each. The Chief Minister, Deputy CM and many MPs of the state are in the election fray. Both the parties have given tickets to state presidents.

  • Who will be Ajit Jogi’s legacy? Why is the heartbeat of every party increasing?

Chhattisgarh Polls: The political temperature is high regarding the assembly elections in Chhattisgarh. The ruling Congress and the opposition BJP in the state are making every effort to win the elections. After becoming a state by separating from Madhya Pradesh in the year 2000, only two parties have played a strong role in Chhattisgarh. Apart from BJP and Congress, a third front emerged in the year 2016. The first CM of the state, Ajit Jogi formed Janata Congress Chhattisgarh. In the 2018 elections, the party entered the fray with full strength but failed to achieve any major milestone. After the demise of Ajit Jogi in the year 2020, the party’s support base and vote share is also slipping. In such a situation, both BJP and Congress are keeping an eye on this.

In the 2018 elections, the Janata Chhattisgarh Congress (Jogi) was led by the state’s first Chief Minister Ajit Jogi. Despite the election being triangular, Congress performed impressively and came to power with 68 out of 90 seats. JCC formed alliance with Bahujan Samaj Party and CPI for the assembly elections. The alliance contested all 90 seats, with JCC (J) contesting 55 seats and winning 5 seats and 7.6 percent of the votes. BSP got 3.8 percent and 2 seats and CPI contested two seats and got 0.3 percent votes. Almost five years after the formation of the party, patron Ajit Jogi has passed away. After his death, Jogi’s legacy was scattered. Many MLAs resigned. That seven per cent is now being eyed by both the Congress and the BJP, and could prove to be the difference in a close fight.

    How Ajit Jogi’s party disintegrated

Two of the five JCC MLAs – Ajit Jogi himself and Devrat Singh – died. Whereas, Dharamjit Singh joined BJP in August 2023. Pramod Sharma was expelled from the party in July 2023. Now the only JCC MLA in Chhattisgarh is Ajit Jogi’s wife Renu Jogi. In September 2023, BSP has announced an alliance with Gondwana Gantantra Party (GGP). In such a situation, Ajit Jogi’s party is isolated.

Who will benefit, BJP or Congress?

According to political experts, most of the politics of JCC(J) revolves around Ajit Jogi. The way the party has disintegrated after his death, it is possible that he may lose voteshare. Speculations are being made on which party will get the vote share which is slipping from Jogi’s party. Chhattisgarh-based political commentator Sudeep Srivastava said, “A large part of the Satnami (Dalit) and OBC votes may swing towards the Congress, given the upper caste votes in seats like this. In Lormi, BJP may take a stand due to change of upper caste candidates. JCC(J) may still have some tribal and Dalit votes.

The senior Congress leader, on condition of anonymity, commented, “There are many reasons for the decline of JCC(J). First, Ajit Jogi had the political skills and networks to keep the party afloat, and without them, it is lost. The JCC(J) has also been unable to generate a new vote base, and there has been barely any political activity on the ground for four years after the 2018 elections.”

Commenting on the condition of JCC and Amit Jogi’s leadership failure, BJP spokesperson Sachchidanand Upase said, “Ajit Jogi was charismatic and a very talented political strategist. After his demise, the party has lost touch with the people.” The BJP leader has claimed that the vote share of Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (Jogi) will go to BJP.”

Amit Jogi’s claim – vote share remains intact

Former MLA Amit Jogi, son of Ajit Jogi, who is leading the party, claimed that JCC(J)’s voteshare will remain intact and the party will play an important role. People are angry with both Congress and BJP because they have betrayed the people of the state. In the last 45 days, I have traveled to 45 constituencies and people are giving me the same love they used to give to my father. This is my strength.

Jogi said that in 2018 he fought on 55 seats and now he will fight on all 90 seats. “I am starting talks with other regional parties,” he said. Last time we announced the candidates three months before the elections but this time I will wait for the lists of BJP and Congress. The tribute to my late father will be to double the vote share.

    BSP left us

BSP, which contested the elections in alliance in 2018, has now left JCC(J). BSP Chhattisgarh President Hemant Poyam said that his aim is to double his vote share also. He said, “Last time we fought on 33 seats and this time we are going to field candidates on 60 seats.” We will double our voteshare like 2008 and 2013, where we got 5 to 6 percent votes. Poyam said there is no possibility of an alliance with JCC(J) as of now.

Ticket contenders are in tension, so many MLAs can be found in the Congress list; When will it be announced?

Why did Ajit Jogi form his own party?

Bhupesh Baghel was the reason why Ajit Jogi, who was once closest to Congress and entered politics at the behest of Rajiv Gandhi, formed JCC. In 2016, Jogi had a heated argument with the then state Congress president and now Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. The party high command tried its best to understand both but Ajit Jogi formed a separate party.

  • Survey report creates tension for ticket contenders, so many MLAs can be included in the second list of Congress; When will it be announced?

Chhattisgarh polls: The first list of 30 Congress candidates for Chhattisgarh Assembly elections has been released. Tickets of 8 sitting MLAs have been cut in the first list. After the release of the first list, the tension of the claimants and MLAs has also increased. The second list of Congress will be released on October 18. There will be a meeting of the Central Election Committee in Delhi on October 17, in which the list will be released after discussion. There is a possibility that names of 40 to 45 candidates will appear in the second list. There is talk in political circles about cutting the tickets of 10 to 12 MLAs in this list. These are the MLAs whose survey report is weak and their political hold on the assembly constituency has also become loose.

30 candidates have been announced in the first list of Congress released on October 15. Out of the 20 seats for which voting is to be held on November 7 in the first phase, Congress has so far declared candidates for 19 seats. Only the candidate from Jagdalpur seat has not been announced. There is talk in the political circles that the party is going to field a new face on Jagdalpur seat also. Tickets of 10 to 12 MLAs will be cut in the second list of Congress. From CM Bhupesh to many senior Congress leaders, they have been continuously saying that the party will give tickets only to the winning candidates, that is, new faces will be given a chance.

Candidates will come on lost seats in the second list

Let us tell you that in Chhattisgarh, Congress had captured 68 seats in the last assembly. In the subsequent by-elections, Congress won 3 more seats. At present Congress has a total of 71 MLAs. The party will release its second list of 40 to 45 names, in which apart from the lost seats, the seats of MLAs found weak in the survey report i.e. running in the danger zone will also be included. Sources are saying that Congress is going to sideline 10 to 12 MLAs in the second list.

As soon as the list comes, factionalism intensifies, demand to change BJP candidate from Jashpur

Tickets of these MLAs were cut in the first list

The MLAs whose tickets have been cut by Congress in the first list; They include the names of Mamta Chandrakar from Pandaria, Chhanni Sahu from Khujji, Devati Karma from Dantewada, Anoop Nag from Antagarh, Rajman Benzam from Chitrakote, Shishupal Sori from Kanker, Bhuvneshwar Baghel from Dongargarh, Gurudayal Banjare from Navagarh. State Congress President and MP Deepak Baij will contest the elections in place of Rajman Benjamin. In place of Devati Karma from the Karma family, her son Chhaviendra Karma has now got a chance.

  • Chhattisgarh Election: Congress follows BJP’s path, ticket to MP in first list; removed from this seat

Chhattisgarh Election 2023: After a long wait, Congress has released the first list of candidates for Chhattisgarh Assembly elections. The Congress party gave tickets to many ministers including the Chief Minister and Deputy CM in the first list. A change has also been made in the seat of a minister. The most unique thing is that Congress has fielded its MP Deepak Baij on the lines of opposition BJP.

It is noteworthy that BJP has fielded MPs and ministers in the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. His nephew Vijay Baghel is contesting the Parliament elections against Bhupesh Baghel. In such a situation, Congress has also expressed confidence in Sansad Deepak Baij in its first list.

In the first phase of Chhattisgarh Assembly, Congress has declared candidates for 19 seats for 20 seats in Bastar and Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha constituencies, out of which confidence has been expressed on ‘women power’ on 4 seats. Tickets of 7 new faces and 8 MLAs have been cut in the list.

Congress has given priority to male candidates in place of three women MLAs in its first list. These include Neelkanth Chandravanshi in place of Mamta Chandrakar from Pandariya, Bholaram Sahu in place of Chhani Sahu from Khujji and Chhabindra Karma in place of Devati Karma from Dantewada. Whereas on Dongargarh seat, Harshita Baghel has been given a chance in place of Bhuneshwar Baghel. Along with this, the party has maintained its trust in Yashoda Verma from Khairagarh, Savitri Mandavi from Bhanupratappur and Anil Bhediya from Daundilohara. In place of Devati Karma from Karma family, her son Chhaviendra Karma has now been given a chance on Dantewada seat.

All the big faces of the state in the first list of Congress

Most of the names in the first list of Chhattisgarh Congress are popular. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will contest from his seat Patan. Whereas TS Singhdev will contest from Ambikapur. The Congress list includes Assembly Speaker Charandas Mahant, Ravindra Choubey, Tamradhwaj Sahu, Mohd. The names of many MLAs include Akbar, Shiv Dahria, Guru Rudra Kumar, Mohan Markam, Amarjeet Bhagat, Umesh Patel, Jaisingh Aggarwal. Congress has expressed confidence in the present ministers of Chhattisgarh. With the ticket announcement there is some joy and some sadness. There is disappointment among the MLAs due to ticket cancellation.

Change of seat for one minister, no ticket for 8 MLAs

There are names of 30 candidates in the first list of Congress. Candidates have been announced for 19 seats and 11 other seats in the first phase of elections. According to the released list, 6 new faces have been given a chance and tickets of 7 MLAs have been cut. The name has not come yet for Jagdalpur seat. The seat of Minister Guru Rudra Kumar has been changed. From Dantewada, his son Chhabindra Karma in place of Devati Karma, from Pandariya, Neelkanth Chandravanshi in place of Mamta Chandrakar, from Dongargarh, Harshita Swami Baghel, in Khujji, Bholaram Sahu in place of Chhani Sahu, from Antagarh, Roopsingh Potai in place of Anoop Nag, from Kanker, in place of Shishupal Sori. Name Shankar Dhruva is included. Whereas from Chitrakote, MP Deepak Baij has been made the candidate in place of MLA Rajman Benjamin.

Girish against Raman, Vijay against Bhupesh

Patan and Rajnandgaon are the most high profile seats in the assembly elections. Congress has fielded Mineral Development Corporation Chairman Girish Dewangan from Rajnandgaon Assembly seat. Whereas BJP’s National Vice President and former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh is the candidate from Bharatiya Janata Party from Rajnandgaon seat. Similarly, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will contest from Patan seat in Durg district. BJP has fielded his own nephew MP Vijay Baghel against him. Ravindra Choubey has been given ticket from Saja assembly seat. BJP has given ticket against him to Ishwar Sahu, father of the youth killed in Biranpur communal violence.

  • Danger shown in survey report! Congress can cut tickets of one fourth MLAs in Chhattisgarh

The ruling Congress in Chhattisgarh can make a major change in ticket allocation in the upcoming assembly elections. According to the internal survey, tickets of almost a quarter of the MLAs may be cut. The party has prepared an internal survey report to avoid anti-incumbency wave. Congress is fully prepared to increase the number of women candidates in the state. Reliable sources of the party gave this information on Thursday.

According to party insiders, the decision to remove sitting MLAs is based on internal surveys conducted by the party in the last five months. ‘Winning potential’ has been considered the most important criterion for awarding tickets. The assembly elections in the state are being considered as the semi-finals before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. In such a situation, the party has planned not to give tickets to those leaders whose political hold in their area has weakened.

Sources said the list of candidates has almost been finalized and the lists will be released after the Congress Central Election Committee meeting. “This time many sitting MLAs will be removed. The party is focusing on winnability and caste dynamics. Earlier, camps used to decide certain tickets but this time only ‘winnability’ is the criteria,” said a senior Congress leader, claiming that the list will be out in the next week.

Another Congress leader from Chhattisgarh said that most of these sitting MLAs have become MLAs for the first time. He said, “Many people who became MLAs for the first time in the 2018 elections came from jobs and social services and won in the Congress wave due to their clean image. Most of them failed to serve as elected representatives due to lack of experience. Furthermore, his domineering attitude and lack of understanding of the organization also led to factionalism within the party among party workers. “That’s why they don’t look winnable right now.”

The number of women may increase

Another senior party leader claimed that the party may increase the number of tickets given to women this time. Another senior leader, requesting anonymity, said, “In the 2018 elections, we have given tickets to 12 women candidates for the assembly and later in the by-election of Khairgarh constituency, another woman was given the ticket. Therefore, a total of 13 women were given tickets, but in the elections this number could be between 18 to 20.” However, sources said that some senior leaders want tickets for women to be increased but this is completely unlikely to win. But it is.

Every community will get a chance

Another leader said that the main focus in the elections is on the ability to win and local issues and also giving opportunities to local castes and people. The focus is on ensuring that every community is represented and regional politics are other factors that are also considered. Loyalty towards the party is also a big factor in getting a ticket.

It is noteworthy that in the 2018 assembly elections, Congress won 68 out of 90 assembly seats in the state and defeated the BJP, which was in power for 15 years under the leadership of Raman Singh. BJP was successful in winning only 15 seats.

The BJP, which is hoping to make a comeback in Chhattisgarh in the assembly elections to be held later this year, had released its first list of candidates for 21 seats on August 17. The first list included 16 new faces, five former MLAs and five women. This time the party has not given ticket to even a single candidate who contested from these seats in 2018.

  • Key to power in Chhattisgarh: How will lotus blossom in ‘Zero Land’, BJP’s Surguja-Bastar plan

The Bharatiya Janata Party, which has been in power in Chhattisgarh for 15 consecutive years, is trying hard to make a comeback in 2023. BJP has put all its strength especially in Bastar and Surguja. The focus of the top leadership of BJP is on zero land i.e. those areas where the party did not get seats in the 2018 assembly elections. BJP is taking out ‘Parivartan Yatra’ to blossom the lotus in the political barren land of Surguja and Bastar. There are a total of 26 assembly seats in both the divisions. It is said that the key to power comes from here. At present there is not a single BJP MLA here.

Less than three months are left for Chhattisgarh Assembly elections. The ruling Congress and the main opposition party BJP have intensified election preparations. While Congress is trying to strengthen its reach among the public by organizing ‘Bharosa Ka Sammelan’ program, Bharatiya Janata Party is ready to take the achievements of Modi government and failures of Bhupesh Sarkar among the public through Parivartan Yatra. Parivartan Yatras are starting from Dantewada in Bastar and Jashpur in Surguja. Union Minister Amit Shah is starting the first phase from Dantewada, while the second phase will be started by BJP National President JP Nadda. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the concluding program of Parivartan Yatra.

Complete plan to surround ‘Baba’ and ‘Kaka’

Congress has a strong government in Chhattisgarh. Out of 90 assembly seats, Congress currently has 71 MLAs, while Bharatiya Janata Party has only 13 MLAs. 3 seats belong to JCCJ and MLA belongs to BSP. There is one seat vacant. TS Singhdev, popularly known as Baba, has a good hold among the people in Surguja area. Before the elections, Congress has also made him Deputy CM. At the same time, BJP has made a strategy to corner Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel (popularly known as Kaka) in his assembly constituency Patan as well as Bastar. BJP’s focus is on zero land seats.

There are a total of 12 seats in Bastar and 14 seats in Surguja division, where BJP was defeated in 2018. BJP has only 2 plans to open its account in this area of the state. First, to count the works of Modi government and second, the work done towards ending the infiltration of Naxalites. Apart from these two plans, how successful the party is in politically attacking Congress and the Baghel government will be revealed only with the results of the elections.

BJP suffered a major setback in the 2018 elections.

In the 2018 assembly elections, BJP suffered a major setback in the tribal areas of the state. The party did not get a single seat in Surguja division. Dantewada was the only seat in Bastar, that too was lost in the by-election. In view of this, BJP has decided to focus on tribal areas. As part of the strategy, the central leadership of BJP is repeatedly visiting Chhattisgarh. It is believed that the key to power in Chhattisgarh lies with the tribal reserved seats, especially in Bastar and Surguja divisions, that is why BJP’s entire emphasis is on these tribal seats.

2989 kilometer journey, 84 meetings, 7 road shows

Chhattisgarh BJP state president Arun Sao is leading the first phase of the Parivartan Yatra. This journey will be of about 1728 km. There will be about 45 general meetings, 32 welcome meetings and 5 road shows in different assembly constituencies. The second phase of Parivartan Yatra will start from Jashpur. BJP national president JP Nadda will flag it off. The second phase of the yatra will be led by Leader of Opposition in Chhattisgarh Assembly Narayan Chandel. The second Parivartan Yatra will be of 1261 kilometers. In the second phase, there will be 39 general meetings, 53 welcome meetings and 2 road shows. Both Parivartan Yatra will conclude on 28th September. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the closing programme. Both journeys will be of approximately 2989 km. BJP leaders from national to state level will participate in the Parivartan Yatra.

Bastar and Surguja special for both parties

BJP is working on a master plan to corner the ruling Congress party in the 2023 assembly elections. BJP has focused most on tribal seats. BJP seems to be in aggressive mode regarding tribal reservation in Chhattisgarh. The party will also try to capitalize on giving a chance to a tribal woman on the highest post like President. Let us tell you that before Parivartan Yatra, state in-charge Om Mathur had made a whirlwind tour of 12 assembly constituencies of Bastar by helicopter. Along with giving the mantra of victory to the workers, he investigated the ground reality. Bastar Fort has special significance for both the parties, hence the leaders of Congress and BJP are engaged in all-round siege of each other.
