  • In Chhattisgarh, the employee-officer joint front will hold a statewide strike demanding DA and arrears, all government offices including ministries, schools and hospitals will remain closed on this day

Satya Rajput, Raipur. The Chhattisgarh Employees and Officers United Front, which is demanding dearness allowance and dearness relief, is going to hold a state-level strike on September 9. In the meeting of the United Front held in the capital today, it was decided that on the day of this strike, ministries, directorates, schools, hospitals and all government offices will remain closed.

Mahendra Rajput, President of Mantralaya Sangh, said that in the meeting of Chhattisgarh Employees Officers United Front, the employees and pensioners of the state had demanded to adjust the amount of DA and DA arrears in GPF accounts at par with the Center. The demand of the employees and pensioners is that 4 percent dearness allowance and dearness relief should be provided from January 1, 2024. At present, dearness allowance is 50% in the Center while in the state it is only 46%. He told that this promise was made in the election manifesto, but despite giving a memorandum to the Chief Minister, Finance Minister and Chief Secretary on July 31, 4 percent DA / DR has not been announced from January 1, 2024. This has increased the resentment among the employees.

The president of the Mantralaya Sangh said that during this strike, dharna demonstrations will be organized in the capital Raipur and all the district and tehsil headquarters of the entire state. The United Front has also supported the strike of Shikshak Sangharsh Morcha, formed by four teacher organizations, protesting against the violation of the prescribed setup and National Education Policy of 2008.

  • Amit Shah Visit CG: Amit Shah reached Raipur, will hold a meeting with CS and DGP of 7 states, strategy will be made on the elimination of Naxalites

Amit Shah Visit CG: Prateek Chauhan. Home Minister of the country Amit Shah has returned to Raipur after visiting Champaran Dham. Here, under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in an interstate coordination meeting with the Chief Secretaries and Directors General of Police of Chhattisgarh and 7 neighboring states, a concrete strategy will be prepared for the next four to six months.

There will also be a discussion on accelerating the development work in the meeting on security and development in the Naxal areas of Chhattisgarh from 2.30 pm. In both the meetings, a presentation will also be given by the Chhattisgarh government on the development work being done in the Naxal areas of the state and the anti-Naxal campaign.

Top Naxal leaders and military companies will now be the target

Experts say that the focus of the Central and Chhattisgarh governments is now on eliminating or weakening the remaining strength of the Naxalites in Bastar. Now the big leaders of the Naxalites and the military companies and battalions of the Maoists will be the target of the security forces. Because these groups are still active.

Preparations are on to complete this task through joint efforts of all the intelligence agencies of the central and state governments and security forces. It is worth mentioning that in the last few years, the police have achieved many successes against the Naxalites, but the expected success in arresting any member of their central committee or any big leader or in seizing a large quantity of their weapons has not been achieved.

Officials who have been observing the Naxalites for years believe that the real strength of the Maoists is their military companies, which consist of trained fighters armed with AK-47, INSAS and LMG looted from the forces. Two battalions of the Naxalites, considered to be powerful, are still active in the forests from Sukma, Bijapur to Narayanpur. Sources say that now the focus of the central government is on breaking the back of the Naxalites.
