Dr. Ajay Tirkey was also the convener of the investigation team formed by the Congress, while the expelled leader from the party was also former MLA Brihaspat Singh.

    When Badge and other leaders returned to the Circuit House for lunch after meeting the deceased family, Dr. Ajay Tirkey and Brihaspat Singh clashed with each other. Within no time the argument escalated into a heated argument and abuse. Efforts were made by local leaders to calm the matter, but the dispute kept increasing. In the end, PCC President Baij left the meal and left for Raipur. The leaders kept trying to pacify the angry Baij, but he did not stop.

    According to party sources, Dr. Ajay Tirkey got angry saying that how did the leaders expelled from the party come here? No one had even called him. Due to this, Brihaspat Singh got angry. He also replied to Tirkey in a harsh tone. And then the argument between the two started to such an extent that the door of the room had to be closed.

    In this matter, Dr. Ajay Tirkey and Brihaspat Singh have refused to give any kind of reaction, while Balrampur District President said that there has been a dispute, but he will not say anything on it right now.

  • Balrampur Violence: NHM Employees Union demands action against the culprits, submits memorandum to Chief Minister and Home Minister regarding four-point demands including Rs 1 crore compensation amount

    Balrampur. On Thursday, after the death of a youth in custody at the police station located in Balrampur district headquarters of Chhattisgarh, a mob attacked the police station. There was heavy stone pelting and vandalism in the police station. The police dispersed the crowd forcefully by releasing tear gas. Protests by the people of Balrampur continued on the second day of the incident. Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh State National Health Mission (NHM) Employees Union has submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister and the Home Minister with four-point demands and has asked for strict action to be taken against the culprits. The Sangh has also warned that if their demands are not met then the Sangh will be forced to fight a street battle to get justice.

    Chhattisgarh State National Health Mission Employees Union said in a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister and the Home Minister, “The case of death in police custody of Gurchand Mandal, working under the National Health Mission office in Balrampur district headquarters, has come to light. Would like to be aware that this case of death in police custody is extremely serious and raises doubts on the functioning of the police personnel concerned. It has come to light that the wife of the deceased employee was missing, instead of searching for her, the police, suspecting the deceased, kept calling him and his family members to the police station repeatedly and putting pressure on him. It has also been reported that he was severely beaten. This type of death is a gross violation of human rights for which strict action should be taken against the culprits.

    Chhattisgarh State National Health Mission Employees Union has also placed a four-point demand from the Chief Minister and the Home Minister regarding this matter. The union says that if action is not taken on the demands, there will be anger among all the employees, for which the union will be forced to fight on the streets to get justice.

    Let us tell you that this event of distribution of the amount of 9th installment under Mahtari Vandan Yojana will be held from 5.15 pm to 6.30 pm at Purkhauti Muktangan located in Nava Raipur. On this occasion, President Murmu will inaugurate the Surguja block constructed in Purkhauti Muktangan. Governor Ramen Deka will present the first copies of books published by the Tribal Welfare Department to President Murmu. On this occasion, Murmu will also meet and discuss with people of the local tribal community.

    5227 crores have been paid so far under the scheme

    It is noteworthy that Chhattisgarh Government is running an innovative scheme named Mahtari Vandan with the aim of promoting economic self-reliance and empowerment of women, strengthening their social and family status, removing gender discrimination and inequality. This scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 10 March 2024. This scheme has been implemented in the state from March 1, 2024.

    Under Mahtari Vandan Yojana, financial assistance of Rs 1,000 per month is being provided by the state government to about 70 lakh women of the state above 21 years of age. Till now, Rs 5227 crore has been paid to the beneficiary women in the state in 8 monthly installments through DBT. President Smt. Draupadi Murmu will transfer the amount of the 9th installment to the accounts of the beneficiary women on October 25. On this occasion, two beneficiary women of Mahtari Vandan Yojana will also share their experiences before the President.
