  • Warning of heavy rain in many districts of Chhattisgarh, Meteorological Department issued orange alert

The Meteorological Department says that due to a new system being active in the state, there are chances of heavy rain in various parts. The weather will remain bad in Chhattisgarh for the next two days. Thunderstorm warning has also been issued in some parts.

    The All India Weather Bulletin issued by the Meteorological Department said that due to the effect of cyclonic circulation over the north-western Bay of Bengal, a low pressure area has formed over the west-central Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move towards South Chhattisgarh during the next 24 hours. A trough is extending through Odisha and Chhattisgarh till south-east Uttar Pradesh. Due to this, favorable conditions for rain are being created in the areas of Central India.

    The Meteorological Department says that there may be light to moderate rain in various parts of Chhattisgarh during September 5 to 7. There are also chances of thunderstorms and heavy rain at some places. According to the local weather office, there may be heavy to very heavy rains in Dantewada, Sukma and Bijapur districts. Orange alert has been issued in these districts regarding this. At the same time, moderate to heavy rains may occur in some other districts of the state including Narayanpur, Kanker, Dhamtari, Kondagaon, Gariaband.

    According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Bastar division. Yellow alert has also been issued regarding rain in some districts. There are chances of good rain in some other districts including Korea, Mungeli, Bilaspur, Gariaband and Bijapur. Most parts of the state are suffering from the scorching heat. Farmers are still hopeful of heavy rains. In such a situation, it is believed that if the monsoon system does its job this time, the farmers of the state will get great relief.

    According to the All India Weather Update shared by the Meteorological Department, a cyclonic circulation is active over Chhattisgarh and its surrounding areas. Not only this, a trough is also passing from Madhya Pradesh to South Central Maharashtra. Another monsoon trough is passing through Rajasthan areas and reaching Northeast Bay of Bengal. Meteorologists predict that the month of September may prove to be better than August in terms of rainfall.

    According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of rain in Jashpur, Korea, Surajpur, Balrampur, Bilaspur, Kanker, Korba and Sarangarh. Especially during the next 24 hours, Jashpur, Korea and Surajpur districts will be cloudy and it may rain at some places. There are indications of good rains in Balrampur, Bilaspur and Kanker also. Not only this, good rain is possible in some parts of Raipur, Bastar and Mahasamund of the state. Due to this the weather will remain pleasant.

  • Alert of heavy rain in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Meteorological Department issued update of the entire week

It has been raining in Madhya Pradesh since Saturday. Due to heavy rains, the railway track of Delhi-Bhopal route got washed away, affecting the movement of trains. The situation is such that the routes of some trains had to be changed. Madhya Pradesh will also see good rain on Sunday and Monday. Heavy rain may occur especially in some parts of Gwalior, Ujjain, Sagar, Jabalpur and Chambal divisions.
