    Rajasthan Election 2023: Only a few days are left for voting for the Assembly elections and Congress has not released the list of candidates. An important meeting was held to brainstorm the names of the candidates. Amid opposition from some Congress MLAs, the party’s state election committee discussed the names of candidates for the upcoming assembly elections. The above information has been given by the party leaders. According to Congress leaders, the committee headed by Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasara recorded comments along with probable names in a list, which will be presented in the screening committee meeting in Delhi. Let us tell you that the Election Commission has changed the dates of Rajasthan Assembly elections, now voting will be held on 25th November. Earlier the date of voting was fixed for 23 November. According to the Election Commission, now notification for the elections will be issued on October 30. The last date for nomination is November 6, while nomination papers will be scrutinized on November 7 and candidates will be able to withdraw their names till November 9. The voting date has been fixed for November 25 and the results will be declared on December 3.

    Important meeting in Congress’s ‘war room’

    This important meeting took place in the ‘War Room’ of the Congress Party on Friday evening. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and other members of the committee attended this meeting. During the meeting, several groups of party workers from different constituencies protested against the sitting party MLAs and demanded the party not to give tickets to the MLAs. After the meeting ended, Dotasara spoke to the media and said that everyone has the right to express their views. He said that all the Congress workers have been expressing their views for a long time. If anyone expresses his views, we will listen to him and whatever is appropriate will be conveyed to the screening committee.

    CM Ashok Gehlot said that it is not unusual for adverse comments to be made against any MP or MLA at the time of elections. He said that there could be truth in this and there could also be a conspiracy. This continues and eventually the party high command will take the appropriate decision and the winnable candidate will be given the ticket and this will be accepted by all of us. Gehlot said that everything is going well in the party. The Chief Minister said that Congress will start the election campaign from Baran district of eastern Rajasthan where the party’s national president Mallikarjun Kharge will address a public meeting on October 16. After that, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi will address a rally in Sikarai, Dausa on 20 October.

    Further, CM Gehlot said that his government is demanding from the Central Government to give the status of national project to the East Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) but the Center did not pay attention to it. He said that now the Congress party will expose the Narendra Modi led central government and BJP on this issue through meetings in the districts of Eastern Rajasthan.

    Protest near ‘War Room’

    Shortly before the start of the meeting, party workers from Kaman, Sawai Madhopur, Kishanpol and Sardarshahr assembly constituencies reached near the ‘War Room’ and protested. They raised slogans against the sitting MLAs and demanded that they should not be given tickets. Zahida Khan is the Congress MLA from Kaman constituency, while Danish Abrar is from Sawai Madhopur, Amin Kagzi is from Kishanpole (Jaipur) and Anil Sharma is from Sardarshahr (Churu).
