Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh is once again on the ED’s radar. According to sources, the ED team (ED AT Sanjay Singh Residence) reached Sanjay Singh’s house on Wednesday morning in the alleged Delhi Liquor Policy scam case. Many ED officials were seen outside his house, security forces were also present there along with them. According to sources, ED officials interrogated him for a long time and also searched his house. This is the second time when the Enforcement Directorate team reached Sanjay Singh’s house.
Aam Aadmi Party’s chief spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar told NDTV that this is vendata politics. Raids have been conducted for 15 months, nothing has been found before and will not be found in future too. ED’s case is very weak. Last time ED put his name in the case, ED had to apologize. When you are honest you have no fear.

At the same time, BJP leader Shehzad Poonawala said on ED raid on Sanjay Singh’s house that now AAP means ‘more sins’. The misdeeds committed by Arvind Kejriwal and AAP party in the liquor scam case are coming to light day by day. Instead of giving a report card on the liquor scam case, they are playing the victim card. Two people have worked as approvers in this entire scam, one of them is Dinesh Arora. Sanjay Singh has a direct connection with him and it was he who introduced Manish Sisodia to Dinesh Arora.

ED’s search operation at Sanjay Singh’s house
Let us tell you that ED had filed a charge sheet in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam case, in which Sanjay Singh’s name was mentioned. Last time when the ED team had reached Sanjay Singh’s house, the AAP MP had filed a defamation case against the ED. While giving clarification on this, the Enforcement Directorate had said that in the charge sheet, Sanjay Singh’s name was mistakenly written in place of Rahul Singh. After which this matter ended here. Now once again Sanjay Singh is on the radar of ED.

What is the new liquor policy scam case?
Let us tell you that Manish Sisodia, who was the Deputy CM of Delhi, is already in jail in the Delhi New Liquor Policy scam case. He was arrested by ED in February this year. Liquor scam is linked to the new liquor policy of Delhi government. This liquor policy was implemented by the Kejriwal government in 2021. Under this policy, the government had talked about ending the mafia rule by handing over the liquor business to private hands.
It was claimed that the new policy will also increase revenue. But after the implementation of the new liquor policy, instead of increasing, the revenue started decreasing, after which questions started being raised on the Delhi government. After this, Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar had alleged irregularities in the new policy. Based on the report submitted by him, the Governor had recommended a CBI inquiry into the matter on July 22, 2022. After that, ED also came into action to investigate corruption in this matter.
