  • Delhi On High Alert After Blast Outside CRPF School, Police Probing Khalistan Link |

New Delhi is on high alert after a powerful blast ripped through the wall of a CRPF school in Rohini’s Prashant Vihar area on Sunday morning. A multi-agency probe is underway to deduce the cause of the blast and identify the perpetrators. According to a senior official, authorities are also exploring a possible Khalistan connection in the incident, reported PTI.

The explosion was a low-intensity IED (Improvised Explosive Device) blast, that was controlled with a timer or remote without shrapnel or ball bearings, PTI quoted a Police source. While no casualties were reported, the blast shattered windowpanes of nearby cars, damaged shops in the vicinity. A senior official cited by the news agency revealed that the conspirators wanted to send a message to the authorities, hence they ‘intentionally’ chose the location to avoid harming people.

    Potential Of Khalistan, Pakistan Link

The incident follows a string of bomb threats made to several airlines in recent days. The potential of a Khalistani link surfaced after a social media post claimed the blast was in retaliation for Indian agents allegedly targeting pro-Khalistan separatists.

Later in the evening, a screenshot of a Telegram post from Justice League India circulated on social media, featuring a clip of the blast with a “Khalistan Zindabad” watermark at the bottom. The post originated from a Pakistani Telegram channel, according to Zee News TV.

“If Indian coward agency and their master think they can hire filthy goons to target our members to silence our voice then they live in fools world. They can’t imagine how close we are to them and how capable we are to strike anytime #KhalistanZindabad #JLI,” the Justice League India mentioned in the post alongside the clip.

    Delhi CRPF School Blast

The bomb was likely planted late Saturday night, said police officials. According to local residents, the blast was heard between 7:35 and 7:40 a.m. on Sunday.

Following the explosion, teams from the National Investigation Agency (NIA), National Security Guard (NSG), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and Delhi Police quickly secured the area and collected samples for further investigation. NSG commandos used robots to search the area for additional explosives. Samples of ‘white powder’ and soil collected from the site were sent to a laboratory to determine the bomb’s composition.

“A senior police officer said, ‘The white powder could be a mixture of ammonium nitrate and chloride.’”

Videos from the scene captured thick plumes of smoke rising from the blast site. Residents described the explosion as ‘intense’ and reported a foul odor in the area afterward.

  • Pro-Pakistan Slogans In Delhi House: Police Probing Terror Angle |

New Delhi: A man was arrested in Rohini after receiving a complaint that he had written pro-Pakistan slogans on the wall of his flat, officials said. The incident came to light after a video filmed by a resident of capital city’s Avantika area garnered attention on social media. In the clip, the resident begins by sharing his location (Avantika C-Block) and then discusses having received information about a nearby building covered in pro-Pakistan slogans.

The local points out the building that he asserts has pro-Pakistan posters. He then enters the building with a group of people, including police officers. Inside, he shows the viewers the posters and comments that it looks like the building is occupied by a ‘terrorist organization.’ The posters feature extensive messages about Pakistan, and one prominently displays the phrase “Long Live Pakistan.”

The apartment featured in the clip appears small and dimly lit, cluttered with utensils and old, rusty furniture. As they proceed into a dark room with almost no visibility, they discover an elderly man sitting on the floor, seemingly holding an alcoholic beverage. The man becomes visible only when some individuals switch on their mobile flashlights.

The local then starts questioning the individual, asking why he is engaging in such actions while residing in India. Meanwhile, others present can be heard suggesting the man appears mentally unstable and shouting remarks like, “(Tujhe Pakistan jaana hain toh Pakistan jaa) If you want to go to Pakistan, then go to Pakistan!”

The individual being questioned seemed in an intoxicated state, he insisted, “Only one person will ask a question at a time; I will not answer otherwise.” When one person complies and asks why he is acting this way, he responds, “It is my love for Pakistan.” He then continues to question why everyone is interrogating him. Those present there warned him by saying that he should not engage in such behavior while in India.

“We got information from locals that a man staying at Avantika C-Block area of Rohini wrote some slogans supporting Pakistan on a wall of his flat. Initial investigation suggested that the man is not mentally stable and stays in the flat alone,” a senior police officer told PTI.

The officer further stated that they were investigating whether the man had any ties to Pakistan or any organisation.

  • ‘Mercifully You Have Not Challaned Rainwater’: Delhi High Court Raps MCD; Transfers Case To CBI |

In a scathing critique, the Delhi High Court expressed its inability to comprehend how three UPSC aspirants drowned in the Rajinder Nagar area, noting that such incidents have become disturbingly common and that Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) officials appear indifferent to the situation. The High Court transfered investigation of criminal case from Delhi police to the CBI. The court also indicated that senior MCD officials may have been involved in the irregularities related to infra management.

The court questioned why MCD officials failed to inform the commissioner about the non-functioning storm water drains in Rajinder Nagar, which likely contributed to the tragic deaths. A bench of Acting Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela said MCD officials are not bothered and it has become a norm.

In a related incident, the court took a sarcastic tone with the Delhi Police regarding the arrest of an SUV driver in connection with the coaching centre deaths, remarking, “Mercifully, you have not challaned rainwater for entering the basement.”

The High Court emphasized that police are respected when they book actual culprits, not when they arrest innocent individuals, underscoring its disapproval of the action taken against the SUV driver in this case.

Meanwhile, the Civil services aspirants protesting the Rajinder Nagar coaching centre deaths continued their agitation for the sixth day on Friday, with many seen studying at the protest site. Three students, identified as Shreya Yadav, Tanya Soni and Nevin Dalvin, died after rain water gushed inside the basement of Rau’s IAS Study Circle in Old Rajinder Nagar on July 27 evening.

Officials have stated that the deaths of three civil services aspirants at the coaching centre were caused by the lack of a proper drainage system, inadequate safety measures, and the use of the basement for commercial activities in violation of regulations.

  • Delhi Police Cracks Down On Lawrence Bishnoi-Goldy Brar Gang, Arrests 10 In Pan-India Ops |

Nine offenders including one minor have been taken into custody by the Delhi Police’s Special Cell during a pan-Indian operation. The suspects were wanted in connection with shootings, extortions, murders, and the supply of weapons to the Lawrence Bishnoi-Goldy Brar gang, according to the officials.

The police said they have recovered seven pistols, 31 live cartridges and 11 mobile phones from those arrested from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. According to an officer, the police said that by arresting them, they had stopped some contract killings and other horrible crimes in Delhi.

Nine agents from the Bishnoi and Brar communities have been taken into custody, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Pratiksha Godara. The team was led by inspectors Shiv Kumar and Satish Rana and was overseen by ACPs Lalit Mohan Negi and Hridya Bhushan. Of them, two each have been arrested from Delhi, UP and Punjab, and one each from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Bihar, Godara said.

Currently, Bishnoi is being held at the Sabarmati jail in Gujarat, while Brar—originally named Satinderjeet Singh—is believed to be hiding in Canada. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is looking for Brar, who is allegedly leading a gang from overseas.

The Karni Sena leader Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi in December 2023 and Punjabi musician Sinddu Moosewala in May 2022 were both killed by the Bishnoi-Brar gang. Additionally, the gang is claimed to have been involved in the firing outside Salman Khan’s home and threats against the Bollywood actor.

According to the police, several of the gang members that were arrested are still in contact with one another via encrypted communication services like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

The accused, named as 22-year-old Manjeet Singh alias Guri, was allegedly involved in three prior criminal cases, including an assault on a fellow prisoner and an attack on police officers when he was imprisoned, according to another police official.

Guri communicated with Brar via a someone named Ajay Rana. In November 2023, he and the accused Gurpal went to kill a property dealer in Zirakpur, Punjab, on Brar’s orders because the merchant had refused to give the gang the extortion money.

Guri and Gurpal were stopped by Delhi police in Zirakpur while they were traveling. The two started shooting at the police as they saw them. Gurpal was able to escape, but Guri was shot in retaliation and taken into custody. Later, Gurpal, 26, was taken into custody.

According to the police, the other accused, 25-year-old Jaspreet Singh, also known as Rahul, was previously involved in two criminal cases: one involving the NDPS and the other under the Arms Act in Amritsar.

The 26-year-old Sachin Kumar, also known as Rahul, has an ITI diploma in the electrical stream. In 2014, he was implicated in a robbery criminal case in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. He once provided the Bishnoi gang members with weapons.

Twenty-year-old Santosh, also known as Sultan Baba, was a transport company employee and a supporter of MP criminal Durlabh Kashyap, who was killed.

The Bishnoi gang served as an inspiration for Manjeet, a 24-year-old who was arming its members.

The 22-year-old Abhay Soni, also known as Kabir, had formed a Facebook group called “Rajasthan Shooters” and made touch with other people who were being held accountable for robberies and other offenses.

The feared mobster Durlabh Kashyap was followed by Dharmendra, better known as Kartik, a 21-year-old cold storage worker who also joined several Facebook groups and engaged in illegal activity.

The 27-year-old Santosh Kumar used to supply other Bishnoi-Brar gang members with guns.

  • Delhi Police Shares Easy Tricks To Spot Fake Online Banking Messages |

New Delhi: With the increasing prevalence of online scams, government agencies are stepping up efforts to raise awareness among the public. Recently, the Delhi Police took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share images demonstrating how to identify fake online banking messages.

    Spotting Fake Messages

The Delhi Police cautioned that scammers may use Cyrillic Script to conduct phishing attacks. Therefore, they advised users to carefully examine the URL of any link before clicking on it to avoid falling victim to such fraudulent schemes. The Dangers Of Fake Links

The police shared two images illustrating how seemingly genuine messages can pose a serious threat. By using Cyrillic Script, scammers can create links that closely resemble the URLs of legitimate bank websites, tricking unsuspecting users into divulging sensitive information. (Also Read: China May Use AI Content To Influence Lok Sabha Polls, Warns Microsoft Report)

    How Scammers Operate?

Clicking on these fake links redirects users to web pages that mimic real bank websites, prompting them to enter their account numbers and passwords.

Scammers then exploit this information for fraudulent transactions. Even if users have Two-Factor Authentication enabled, scammers may impersonate bank employees to request additional verification codes.

    Protecting Yourself

To safeguard against such scams, individuals are advised to scrutinize any messages received from unknown numbers or containing links to bank websites.

Paying attention to spelling mistakes or special characters in URLs can help identify fraudulent links. If in doubt, users are encouraged to search for the bank’s official website on Google and cross-check the URL.

    Remain Vigilant

As online scams continue to evolve, users need to remain vigilant and exercise caution when interacting with messages or links from unfamiliar sources. By following these precautions, individuals can better protect themselves against falling victim to online fraud.

  • AAP To ‘Gherao’ PM Modi’s Residence To Protest Against Arvind Kejriwal’s Arrest In Excise Policy Case |

NEW DELHI: Delhi’s ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has called for a ”gherao” of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence on Tuesday to protest against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest in connection with the excise policy case. AAP earlier said that it won’t celebrate Holi this year as their senior party leaders, Arvind Kejriwal, Satyendar Jain and Manish Sisodia, are currently in jail. The party said the AAP workers and leaders will ”gherao” Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence at Lok Kalyan Marg to register its protest against Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

Delhi Minister Gopal Rai had earlier warned that “mega protests” would be held nationwide in the days to come.

    Security Tightened In Delhi

The Delhi Police has, meanwhile, strengthened security at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence in view of AAP’s call for a “gherao” to protest against the arrest of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The police have also beefed up security in several other parts of the national capital.

A Delhi Traffic Police officer said movement is likely to be affected in parts of New Delhi and Central Delhi due to the protest. “Robust security arrangements have been made. We have installed layers of security to maintain law and order in the area,” the Delhi Police officer said. “Section 144 (of the CrPC) is already imposed around the prime minister’s residence and no one will be allowed to protest,” he added.

The Delhi Traffic Police has arranged seven diversion points for the smooth movement of vehicles in view of the protest. “Commuters must avoid Kemal Ataturk Marg, Safdarjung Road, Akbar Road and Teen Murti Marg on Tuesday in view of the protest,” an officer said.

    Kejriwal’s Arrest By ED

Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a money-laundering case linked to the now-scrapped excise policy on March 21. He is in the agency’s custody till Thursday. The AAP national convenor is accused of soliciting kickbacks from liquor traders in exchange for favours, the central agency has claimed.

The ED has also accused Kejriwal of being the “kingpin and key conspirator” in the now-scrapped policy, in collusion with AAP leaders, ministers and other persons. Kejriwal has refuted the allegations and accused the BJP-led Centre of “manipulating investigative agencies for political motives”.
