  • Xiaomi 14 will have 6.36 inch LTPO AMOLED display, launch on October 26

    Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi’s Xiaomi 14 series will be launched on October 26. Earlier, the company has given information about the design and some specifications of Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro. Xiaomi 14 will have a 6.36 inch display with minimal bezels. The company has also shared camera samples of this smartphone on the Chinese messaging platform Weibo. Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro will be provided with a Leica tuned rear camera unit and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC as processor. Xiaomi 14, the base model of this series, will have a 6.36 inch Huaxing C8 LTPO AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, 460 ppi pixel density and adaptive refresh rate up to 120 Hz. Its peak brightness will be 3,000 nits. This smartphone will be made available in Rock Blue, Snow Mountain Pink and Classic Black colors. There is an improvement in the images in the camera samples given by Xiaomi. It will have a 75 mm telephoto lens. Xiaomi 14 series will have HyperOS operating system. Earlier, some leaks had suggested that Xiaomi 14 will have a 4,600 mAh battery with support for 90 W wired charging and 50 W wireless charging. The Xiaomi 14 Pro may pack a 4,860 mAh battery with support for 120 W wired fast charging and 50 W wireless charging. The company has planned to increase sales from retail stores in India. For the last few years, Xiaomi has been focusing on e-commerce websites. After lagging behind South Korea’s Samsung, Xiaomi is trying to increase its smartphone sales. There are more than 60 crore smartphone users in the country. However, online’s share in smartphone sales is 44 percent. Retail stores contribute significantly to these sales. Data from market research firm Counterpoint shows that only 34 percent of the company’s total sales this year came from retail stores. In comparison, Samsung’s offline sales are about 57 percent. In the third quarter of the current year, Xiaomi has secured second position in the country’s smartphone market with about 18 percent market share. It has benefited from launching affordable 5G smartphones. South Korean consumer electronics company Samsung has retained its first position in this market.

Galaxy S23 FE can be made available in Pearl White, Purple Lavender and Black Graphite colors. This smartphone can be a variant of Samsung’s Galaxy S23 with less features. It can be offered with Exynos 2200 SoC in some markets and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC in the US. Recently, in the alleged promo video of Galaxy S23 FE posted on X by AN Leaks (@LeaksAn1), this smartphone is seen with a curved display and hole punch design. There is a triple camera unit in its rear. Earlier in a leak, it was said that the price of 128 GB storage variant of Galaxy S23 FE in India could be Rs 54,999. Its 256 GB storage variant can be bought for Rs 59,999. The company launched Galaxy S23 in February this year for Rs 74,999. Recently, Samsung expanded its A series of smartphones by launching Galaxy A05 and Galaxy A05s. These affordable smartphones have been brought to Thailand. It has a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 5,000 mAh battery with 25 W fast charging support. These smartphones have been made available in silver, light green and black colors. The price of Galaxy A05 is 4,299 Bhat (approximately Rs 9,864). However, the company has not given information about the price of Galaxy A05s. Apart from this, there may be a red colored smartphone whose back panel will be color changing. This week Vivo has launched a new variant of Y56 5G in India. The price of the new variant of Vivo Y56 is Rs 16,999. It will be available in Orange Shimmer and Black Engine colors.
