  • Trump, Along With Elon Musk, Addresses Thousands Where He Was Shot At In Failed Assassination Bid | world news

Former US president Donald Trump on Saturday returned to Butler, a city in Pennsylvania where he narrowly escaped an assassination bid 12 weeks ago, and addressed thousands of his supporters in this key battleground state, urging them to elect him as the next president of the United States. States.

Joined by high-profile figures like Tesla owner Elon Musk and his running mate, Senator JD Vance, Trump (78) made a passionate plea to “defeat” Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate in the November 5 presidential poll.

“We must stop her country-destroying regime, radical-left agenda once and for all. We cannot have it happen. So you must get out and you must vote,” Trump said in Pennsylvania, which in this election cycle has emerged as a must-win situation for both candidates.

Trump launched a scathing attack on Harris and accused her of being a failure on multiple fronts, including border security and the economy. “She imposed a natural gas export ban on Pennsylvania, which is killing your energy workers and your pricing,” he said.

“Kamala Harris is a radical-left Marxist. She is a woman that is not respected in Congress. She was laughed at Congress. Nobody thought she could win. They did a coup of Biden. Whether you like him or not, I am not A particularly big fan, and all of a sudden, they say, you are not going to win the election. don’t want to get out’,” Trump said.

“He (Biden) got 14 million (1.4 crore) votes. If you believe in democracy or a system, he got 14 million votes. And she (Harris) got none. She was the first one out, 22 candidates, and she never She quit before Iowa, and that is okay, we spent USD 150 million beating Biden, they said. let us take him out. We will give somebody else to run.

“She is a person that rated even worse in every statistic than any other senator. She was rated at the bottom of the US Senate. She has destroyed everything she touched,” Trump said.

The former president said if elected, on the first day of his presidency, he would seal the border and stop the migrant invasion into the country. “We will begin the largest deportation operation in the history of the United States,” he said, adding that 2024 is the most important election in the history of the country.

“Here are the facts. My opponent, Kamala Harris, is the most incompetent and far-left nominee ever to run for president. She is much further left than crazy Bernie Sanders. She wants to open the borders. She took the most secure border in US history and turned it into the worst border in the history of the world…. She let in 21 million (2.1 crore) illegal aliens from all over the world, from prisons and jails and mental institutions and insane asylums. are terrorists at record levels, at levels we have never seen before,” he alleged.

In his brief speech, Musk said this is a must-win situation for the country.

“President Trump must win to preserve the Constitution. He must win to preserve democracy in America. This is a must-win situation. So I have one ask for everyone in the audience, everyone who watches this video, everyone in the livestream. This One request is very important. And everyone you do not know, drag them to vote. If they do not, this will be the last. “That’s my prediction,” he said.

Musk said the true test of someone’s character is how they behave under fire. “We had one president who could not climb a flight of stairs. Another who was fist pumping after getting shot. Fight, fight, fight. Blood coming down the face. America is the home of the brave. There is no truer test than courage. under fire. So who do you want representing America?” he asked the audience.

“This election, I think it is the most important election of our lifetime. This is no ordinary election. The other side wants to take away your freedom of speech. They want to take away your right to bear arms. They want to take away your right to vote now. California, where I used to live, I still cannot believe that is real. have a proper election if there is no ID?” he asked.

Vance said Trump took a bullet for democracy.

“A Democrat senator called Donald Trump an existential threat to our democracy. Kamala Harris said he was attacking the foundations of our democracy. I think you all will join me in saying to Kamala Harris, how dare you talk about threats to democracy? Donald Trump Took a bullet for democracy. What the hell have you done?” Vance said.

“The truth is that Kamala Harris and her allies, they attack Donald Trump in order to silence us, we the people. They have declared war explicitly on the First Amendment to the US Constitution. Kamala Harris proudly says she wants to censor the internet. But we all know that censorship is only the first step. First, they tried to bankrupt him. tried to jail him,” he said.

“With all the hatred they have spewed at President Trump, it was only a matter of time before somebody tried to kill him,” Vance said.

  • Elon Musk Becomes 1st Person To Touch 200 Million Followers On X |

Tech billionaire Elon Musk on Thursday became the first person to reach 200 million followers on X social media platform, which he acquired in October 2022 for a whopping $44 billion. The X owner is currently followed by former US President Barack Obama at 131.9 million followers, and famous footballer Cristiano Ronaldo at 113.2 million followers (as of October 3).

Popular singer Justin Bieber is at the fourth position with 110.3 million followers and Rihanna is in the fifth spot with 108.4 million followers. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently crossed the 100 million mark in the world — which was hailed by Musk — and has 102.4 million followers as of now.

Musk recently said that X now has more than 600 million monthly active users (MAUs), and around 300 million daily active users (DAUs). Reports surfaced recently, claiming that most of Musk’s followers “are fake and the count is bloated by millions of new, inactive accounts”. However, there has been no official confirmation about the claim.

According to the Tesla and SpaceX owner, X social media platform has become a group chat for Earth, with maximum traffic coming from all over the world. “X is the group chat for Earth,” Musk had posted. The tech billionaire aims to make it an “everything app” where people can post movies and TV shows and also make digital payments. Musk also claimed that X usage in the US has reached an all-time high.

Earlier this week, global investment firm Fidelity cut the value of its holding in Musk-run X (formerly Twitter) by a massive 78.7 per cent, which implies that the X social media platform is likely valued at just $9.4 billion.

According to the asset manager, X is now valued at less than a quarter of its $44 billion purchase price (at August end), reports TechCrunch which cited its filings. X, Fidelity or Musk did not comment on the report based on regulatory disclosures.

  • Top Brazilian Judge Orders Suspension Of ‘X’ In Brazil Amid Feud With Elon Musk | world news

SAO PAULO: A Brazilian Supreme Court justice on Friday ordered the suspension of Elon Musk’s social media giant X in Brazil after the tech billionaire refused to name a legal representative in the country, according to a copy of his decision.

The move further escalates the monthslong feud between the two men over free speech, far-right accounts and misinformation.

Justice Alexandre de Moraes had warned Musk on Wednesday night that X could be blocked in Brazil if he failed to comply with his order to name a representative, and established a 24-hour deadline. The company hasn’t had a representative in the country since earlier this month.

“Elon Musk showed his total disrespect for Brazilian sovereignty and, in particular, for the judiciary, setting himself up as a true supranational entity and immune to the laws of each country,” de Moraes wrote in his decision.

The justice said the platform will stay suspended until it complies with his orders, and also set a daily fine of 50,000 reais ($8,900) for people or companies using VPNs to access it.

In a later ruling, he backtracked on his initial decision to establish a 5-day deadline for internet service providers themselves — and not just the telecommunications regulator — to block access to , or VPNs.

Brazil’s telecommunications regulator Anatel has 24 hours to comply. The regulator’s chairman Carlos Baigorri told GloboNews channel that the country’s biggest service providers will respond quickly, but added smaller ones might need more time to suspend X from their services.

The full bench of Brazil’s Supreme Court is expected to rule on the case, but no date for deliberations was set.

Brazil is an important market for .

X had posted on its official Global Government Affairs page late Thursday that it expected

“When we attempted to defend ourselves in court, Judge de Moraes threatened our Brazilian legal representative with imprisonment. Even after she resigned, he froze all of her bank accounts,” the company wrote. “Our challenges against his manifestly illegal actions were either dismissed or ignored. Judge de Moraes’ colleagues on the Supreme Court are either unwilling or unable to stand up to him.”

X has clashed with de Moraes over its reluctance to comply with orders to block users.

Accounts that the platform has previously shut down on Brazilian orders include lawmakers affiliated with former President Jair Bolsonaro’s right-wing party and activists accused of undermining Brazilian democracy. X’s lawyers in April sent a document to the Supreme Court in April, saying that since 2019 it had suspended or blocked 226 users.

In his decision Friday, de Moraes’ cited Musk’s statements as evidence that

Musk, a self-proclaimed “free speech absolutist,” has repeatedly claimed the justice’s actions amount to censorship, and his argument has been echoed by Brazil’s political right. He has often insulted de Moraes on his platform, characterizing him as a dictator and tyrant. .

De Moraes’ defenders have said his actions aimed at He wrote Friday that his ruling is based on Brazilian law requiring internet services companies to have representation in the country so they can be notified when there are relevant court decisions and take requisite action — specifying the takedown of illicit content posted by users, and an anticipated churn of misinformation during October municipal elections.

The looming shutdown is not unprecedented in Brazil.

Lone Brazilian judges shut down Meta’s WhatsApp, the nation’s most widely used messaging app, several times in 2015 and 2016 due to the company’s refusal to comply with police requests for user data. In 2022, de Moraes threatened the messaging app Telegram with a nationwide shutdown, arguing it had repeatedly ignored Brazilian authorities’ requests to block profiles and provide information. He ordered Telegram to appoint a local representative; the company ultimately complied and stayed online.

X and its former incarnation, Twitter, have been banned in several countries — mostly authoritarian regimes such as Russia, China, Iran, Myanmar, North Korea, Venezuela and Turkmenistan. Other countries, such as Pakistan, Turkey and Egypt, have also temporarily suspended X before, usually to quell dissent and unrest. Twitter was banned in Egypt after the Arab Spring uprisings, which some dubbed the “Twitter revolution,” but it has since been restored.

Earlier on Friday, a search on It was not immediately clear how Brazilian authorities would police this practice and impose fines cited by de Moraes.

“This is an unusual measure, but its main objective is to ensure that the court order to suspend the platform’s operation is, in fact, effective,” Filipe Medon, a specialist in digital law and professor at the law school of Getulio Vargas Foundation, a university in Rio de Janeiro, told The Associated Press. “As a general rule, there are no provisions in Brazilian law that prevent users from using VPNs, since they are not the subjects of the blocking and suspension orders, but rather the companies. ”

Even so, Mariana de Souza Alves Lima, known by her handle MariMoon, showed her 1.4 million followers on X where she intends to go, posting a screenshot of rival social network BlueSky.

Also on Thursday evening, Starlink, Musk’s satellite internet service provider, said on

“This order is based on an unfounded determination that Starlink should be responsible for the fines levied—unconstitutionally—against X. It was issued in secret and without affording Starlink any of the due process of law guaranteed by the Constitution of Brazil. We intend to address the matter legally,” Starlink said in its statement. The law firm representing Starlink told the AP that the company appealed, but would not make further comment.

Another Brazilian Supreme Court Justice, Cristiano Zanin, rejected an appeal by Starlink to unfreeze the company’s bank accounts.

Musk responded to people sharing the reports of the freeze, adding insults directed at de Moraes. “This guy @Alexandre is an outright criminal of the worst kind, masquerading as a judge,” he wrote.

    Musk later posted on

In his decision, de Moraes said he ordered the freezing of Starlink’s assets, as X didn’t have enough money in its accounts to cover mounting fines, and reasoning that the two companies are part of the same economic group.

    While ordering

“Yes, of course, they have the same owner, Elon Musk, but it is discretionary to consider Starlink as part of the same economic group as Twitter (X). They have no connection, they have no integration,” Belli said.

  • Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s X Sued For $20 Million In Shares By Ex-Twitter Chairman |

New York: Billionaire Elon Musk-run X social media platform has been sued by a former Twitter board member for $20 million. Omid Kordestani, former Twitter (now called X) executive chairman, has sued the social media platform, claiming that Musk refused to cash out more than $20 million worth of shares that belong to him, according to reports.

Reports further said that Kordestani had received most of his compensation in stock but after Musk bought the company, he allegedly refused to pay him for those shares, according to the lawsuit.

Musk or X were yet to comment on the lawsuit filed in California Superior Court in San Francisco. Kordestani had joined Twitter’s board in 2015. He supervised the sale of the company to Musk in October 2022.

According to the lawsuit, the X platform “seeks to reap the benefits of Kordestani’s seven years of service to Twitter without paying him for it”.
The Musk-run platform “refuses to meet those obligations, adding to a long list of unpaid bills accruing under Musk’s watch,” the lawsuit added.

Earlier, Parag Agrawal, former CEO of Twitter (now called X), and three other employees sued Elon Musk for about $128 million in unpaid severance. Agrawal, along with ex-chief financial officer Ned Segal, former Twitter head of legal and policy Vijaya Gadde and former Twitter General Counsel, Sean Edgett, filed the lawsuit.

The lawsuit claimed that the Tesla CEO showed “special ire” towards them by “publicly vowing to withhold their severance payments of around $200 million”, when he took over Twitter in 2022 for $44 billion.

According to earlier reports, the three top executives had an exit package of more than $100 million when they left the company.

  • Elon Musk’s Trans Daughter Makes Bold Claims About Billionaire, Ex-Girlfriend Shows Support For Vivian |

New Delhi: Tesla Chief Elon Musk’s estranged transgender daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, has launched a fresh attack on the SpaceX CEO, days after alleging that she was “killed” by the “woke mind virus.”

Vivian, who came out as trans at 18, also dropped the surname ‘Musk.’ She stated that the 53-year-old “just won’t stop lying” about her and lives in his “own delusional fantasy land.”

This attack came out after the Tesla CEO shared a photo of himself with his kids on X and wrote, “All 5 boys super happy.” On the X’s rival platform Threads, Vivian defamed her father and said how he has been attempting an image makeover in a bid to gain favour in conservative Christian circles.

Adding further, Vivian Jenna Wilson also claimed that he cheated on all of his partners and had lied about her several times in interviews in an attempt to make himself look better.

In another post on X, Musk stated that Wilson was “born gay and slightly autistic,” and by the age of 4, she adored musicals and exclaimed “fabulous!” to describe his jacket.

Meanwhile, Musk’s ex-girlfriend singer-songwriter Grimes also gave a shoutout to Vivian. In July, she took to X and wrote, “I love and am forever, endlessly proud of Vivian.”

It is important to note that the 20-year-old legally changed her name and gender at the age of 18. This legal transition occurred on June 22, 2022, at a court in California.

She also questioned his climate change claims and his space exploration programs. She wrote on the social media platform, “You are not ‘saving the planet’, you do not give a f*** about climate change and you’re lying about multi-planetary civilization as both an excuse, and because you want to seem like the CEO from Ready Player One.”

Notably, the world’s richest man recently claimed in an interview that he was deceived into signing documents for his older child, Vivian Jenna Wilson, during the pandemic. He stated, “My son is dead,” and referred to gender-reassignment surgery as “child mutilation and sterilization.”

After purchasing X, formerly known as Twitter, in 2022, Musk faced allegations of turning the platform into a “toxic” space for LGBTQ+ users by eliminating several inclusive policies, including the ban on deadnaming and misgendering individuals.

  • Elon Musk-Run SpaceX, NASA To Send Mission With Over 3,500 Kg Cargo To ISS |

New Delhi: Elon Musk-run SpaceX and US space agency NASA are set to launch a cargo mission with 8,200 pounds (3,719.45 kg) of supplies, scientific investigations, and equipment to the International Space Station (ISS) on Sunday.

The commercial supplies will be carried to the orbiting lab by Northrop Grumman’s Cygnus spacecraft (NG-21) onboard SpaceX’s Falcon 9 from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

The launch opportunity is available on Sunday at 11.02 a.m. (ET). It is the 21st commercial resupply mission by Northrop Grumman for NASA. The scientific experiments aboard Cygnus spacecraft include “tests of water recovery technology, a process to produce stem cells in microgravity, studies of the effects of spaceflight on microorganism DNA, liver tissue growth, and live science demonstrations for students”.

In addition, the NG-21 will also carry two tiny CubeSats, as part of NASA’s ELaNa (Educational Launch of Nanosatellites) programme. It will be deployed from the ISS after the Cygnus docks on August 5.

The NG-21 has been named the S.S. Richard “Dick” Scobee, after the NASA astronaut who commanded the ill-fated STS-51-L mission of the space shuttle Challenger.

Shortly after liftoff on January 28, 1986, Challenger exploded, claiming the lives of Scobee and his six crewmates. The Cygnus will be docked using the station’s robotic arm, and installed on the Unity module’s Earth-facing port on the ISS.

The spacecraft will spend almost six months connected to the orbiting laboratory before departing in January 2025. The orbiting lab currently houses 7 persons -five from Expedition 71 – Oleg Kononenko, Tracy Dyson, Mike Barratt, Matthew Dominick, Jeanette Epps, Nikolai Chub, and Alexander Grebenkin; and two Starliner crew -Indian-origin, Sunita Williams, and Butch Wilmore.

  • Elon Musk Denies Claims of Offering Sperm to Colonize Mars In Next 20 Years- Details Here |

New Delhi: Elon Musk has denied rumors that he offered his sperm to help start a colony on Mars. The SpaceX and Tesla CEO went on X (formerly Twitter) to reject a recent New York Times report that made this claim.

Musk made a statement via X and wrote, “I have not, for what it’s worth, ‘volunteered my sperm.’” He further clarified that while colonizing Mars remains a long-term goal, SpaceX is currently focused on achieving the fundamental challenge of reaching the red planet. Furthermore, he said, “No one at SpaceX has been directed to work on a Mars city. When people have asked to do so, I’ve said we need to focus on getting there first.”

According to a report in The New York Times, Elon Musk has offered to donate his sperm to help colonize Mars as SpaceX aims to reach the planet. Musk, 53, has asked SpaceX employees over the past year to start designing a city on Mars. He has also instructed SpaceX staff to create spacesuits, plan dome homes, and research if humans can reproduce on Mars.

Musk reportedly hopes to establish a self-sufficient Martian colony and may even bioengineer new species to thrive there. His suggestions include using solar panels for energy and utilizing thermonuclear explosions to warm the planet.

Adding further, a medical team is studying whether people could have children on Mars. The Times reported that billionaire Elon Musk is interested in creating his own species on the planet. These plans might involve Musk using his sperm to help start a colony. However, it’s still uncertain if humans can reproduce on Mars. Elon Musk has previously stated that it could take 40 to 100 years to establish a self-sustaining civilization on the red planet.

Adam Watkins, associate professor of reproductive biology at the University of Nottingham, said that “studies have shown that you can send freeze-dried sperm into space sealed, like freeze-dried coffee effectively,” as reported by Business Insider.

Adding further, he explained that “You would then do something like IVF with those sperm and eggs and transfer the embryos into females who are already established at the other end,” such as in a Mars settlement.

Elon Musk’s ambitious plan to colonize Mars faces several challenges, including barren landscapes, frigid temperatures, dust storms, and an unbreathable atmosphere. Unlike NASA, which aims to send humans to Mars in the 2040s, Musk aspires to achieve this milestone much sooner.

  • Likes Now Private On Social Media Platform X, Users Can’t See Them On Posts |

New Delhi: A day after making likes private on his social media platform X, Elon Musk on Thursday said that the move has resulted in a massive hike in the number of likes for millions of users worldwide.

The tech billionaire had made all likes private by default to help people avoid retaliation from trolls and “better protect user privacy.”

In a fresh post on X, he said that there has been a “massive increase in likes after they were made private.”

After this change, the X users will not be able to see the posts that other users have liked on the platform.

However, the users can still see the posts they liked and the post’s original writer can see who liked it.

According to the Tesla and SpaceX CEO, the move is important to allow people to like posts without getting attacked for doing so.

According to the social media platform, ‘likes’ are visible between you and the author.

“The author will be notified, but not anyone else. Bookmark is only visible to you. We could even make it customisable for users,” according to the company.

  • Elon Musk Withdraws Lawsuit Against OpenAI And Its Co-Founders Sam Altman, Greg Brockman |

New Delhi: Elon Musk has dropped his lawsuit against OpenAI and its co-founders Sam Altman and Greg Brockman. The lawsuit which was filed in a california court this February alleged that OpenAI had breached its contract and deviated from its original mission of developing AI to benefit humanity. Elon Musk’s decision to drop the lawsuit came just a day after he publicly criticised OpenAI’s new partnership with Apple.

Musk’s lawsuit claimed that OpenAI has violated an agreement with its founding members which included a commitment to remain a non-profit and keep its technology open-source. However, OpenAI strongly denied all these accusations and argued that Musk wanted “absolute control” of the company and had even suggested merging it with Tesla. A lawsuit filed by Elon Musk was dismissed with prejudice, according to CNBC. Musk initiated the lawsuit in February and accused Open AI, its co-founders betrayal. He also claimed that Benchmark Capital had breached an agreement signed in 2019. The dismissal with prejudice means that the case cannot be refiled in the future. Elon Musk’s withdrawal of the lawsuit prevented a hearing that was scheduled for Wednesday in San Francisco. During this hearing, the judge was set to decide whether to dismiss the case. “Seeing the remarkable technological advances OpenAI has achieved, Musk now wants that success for himself,” stated OpenAI’s attorneys. In an April filing, Musk argued that OpenAI was attempting to “advance arguments based on disputed facts” that were not relevant to the lawsuit.
