  • India, Saudi Arabia can consider taking bilateral trade to $100 billion: Piyush Goyal

“Maybe this could be a way to start better flow of trade and investment and it will also show how we can double our trade, which is currently about US$52 billion,” Goyal said at an event here. It’s a dollar.

“Can we be more ambitious and take it to US$100 billion? Can we consider a more balanced trade? Can we consider making India a food security provider for Saudi Arabia? “While Saudi Arabia helps us provide more energy security like oil and fertilizers…it will actually be completely beneficial to both sides.”

India’s exports to Saudi Arabia have increased from US $ 8.8 billion in 2021-22 to US $ 10.72 billion in 2022-23. On the other hand, imports increased from US$ 34.1 billion in 2021-22 to US$ 42 billion in 2022-23.

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud is currently on a state visit to India after the conclusion of the G20 summit on Sunday. He is also accompanied by a delegation of ministers and businessmen.

About 50 MoUs worth US$ 3.5 billion have been signed between India and Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, according to an official statement issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), India and Saudi Arabia on Monday signed an agreement to promote cooperation and bilateral investment in the energy sector.

According to the statement, “A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of India and the Government of Saudi Arabia was signed in the national capital on September 10.”

The statement said that the agreement was signed by Union New and Renewable Energy and Power Minister R. Of. Singh and Saudi Arabia’s Energy Minister Abdulaziz bin Salman Al-Saud.

  • Crack in INDIA alliance? Congress furious at Mamata’s participation in G20 dinner, Nitish also ‘surprised’

The two allies of the opposition alliance INDIA have attacked each other. Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Choudhary has raised questions on the presence of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in this dinner. At the same time, TMC has hit back at him. On the other hand, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren also attended this dinner. However, eyes are only on Nitish Kumar.

Questions are being raised on Nitish Kumar attending the dinner

Nitish Kumar, despite being an ally of BJP, did not come to many important meetings in Delhi. He also kept distance from NITI Aayog meetings and meetings called by the Prime Minister. In July last year, he stayed away from the PM’s farewell dinner for former President Ram Nath Kovind. Nitish Kumar had also kept distance from the swearing-in ceremony of current President Draupadi Murmu. In this way he had given a hint of his next step, because in the very next month in August, he broke ties with BJP and joined the Grand Alliance. Now on Saturday, Nitish Kumar was seen meeting PM Modi warmly at the dinner organized for the G20 heads of state and guests at ‘Bharat Mandapam’ in Delhi.

Nitish Kumar had come to Delhi from Patna especially for dinner. He had also supported ‘one country, one election’ a few days ago. However, Nitish Kumar has laid the foundation of the opposition alliance against NDA. The first meeting of the opposition alliance was called in Patna itself. After the second meeting of the opposition alliance in Bangalore, news of Nitish Kumar’s displeasure had spread, but Nitish had strongly denied these reports. After this, Nitish Kumar also participated in the Mumbai meeting.

Nitish-Prashant Kishore go with both options

Meanwhile, election strategist Prashant Kishore has raised questions on Nitish Kumar’s presence in the President’s dinner. Prashant Kishore says that Nitish keeps both doors and windows open, so that he can use either of them if needed. He said that at present, INDIA alliance is the ‘door’ and NDA is the ‘window’ for Nitish.

Politics over dinner in Bengal too

On the other hand, politics is also taking place in West Bengal regarding this dinner. There, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Choudhary has raised questions on Mamata Banerjee’s decision to attend the G20 dinner. He asked Mamata Banerjee whether attending this dinner would not weaken her stand against the Narendra Modi government. The Congress leader also wondered whether there was any other reason behind TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee attending this dinner.

    Congress leader Adhir Ranjan retaliated

TMC has retaliated on this question of Congress leader Adhir Ranjan. TMC hit back and said that Mamata Banerjee is a major supporter of the opposition group INDIA. There is no need for the Congress leader to teach them about government protocol. Let us tell you that many non-BJP Chief Ministers did not attend the G20 dinner, but Mamata Banerjee had reached Delhi a day before. On this occasion, she was seen at the same place with Home Minister Amit Shah and UP CM Yogi Adityanath.

    Politics in Congress camp too

The third politics is taking place in the Congress camp. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhdev Singh Sukhu participated in this dinner. Sukhu is the only Congress Chief Minister attending the dinner. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah did not come to the dinner. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also did not come. Congress President and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge was not even given an invitation for dinner. Congress had also objected to this, but the government said that no leader of any political party was called. Even BJP President JP Nadda was not invited.

In such a situation, the question arises that when Gehlot, Baghel and Siddaramaiah did not attend the G20 Summit dinner, then why only Sukhu reached? However, according to Congress sources, the Congress high command had left it to the Chief Ministers to decide whether to attend the dinner or not.

    Home Ministry also gave clarification

There were also reports that Gehlot and Baghel decided not to attend the dinner organized in Delhi due to lack of flight permission. After this the Home Ministry denied these claims. According to the Home Ministry, the Rajasthan CM claimed that the Home Ministry did not give permission to fly the helicopter. According to the ministry, four requests for flights had come from the Rajasthan CM and all were approved. Similarly, according to reports, Chhattisgarh CM expressed his inability to attend the G20 dinner as there were flight controls around Delhi. According to the ministry, there is high-tech security cover in Delhi from September 8-11, but governors and chief ministers have been allowed to fly in state aircraft.

This Chief Minister did not attend the dinner

All cabinet ministers, ministers of state, chief ministers and secretaries were invited for this dinner. About 300 guests attended this Saturday dinner. Many Chief Ministers stayed away from this dinner for different reasons. Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann, Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, Telangana CM K Chansekhar Rao, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel and Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah did not attend this dinner.
