    A brilliant all-round performance by Afghanistan A guided them to the final of the ongoing ACC Emerging Asia Cup as they defeated India A by 20 runs at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground (Ministry Turf 1) on Friday.

    Afghanistan A will now face Sri Lanka A in the final of the competition on Sunday at the same ground. Chasing a mammoth total of 207 runs, the Tilak Varma-led side was reduced to just 186 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their 20 overs.

    The highest scorer for the side was Ramandeeop Singh who scored 64 runs off just 34 balls which was laced with eight boundaries and two maximums in his innings.

    Ayush Badoni (31 runs off 24 balls, with 2 fours and 1 six), Nishant Sindhu (23 runs from 13 balls, with three fours), and Nehal Wadhera (20 runs in 14 balls, with three fours and a six) scored valuable knocks but they were not enough as their side ended up on the losing side.

    For the Afghanistan side, two wickets each were snapped by Allah Ghazanfar and Abdul Rahman in their spells where they conceded 14 and 32 runs respectively. One wicket was bagged by Sharafuddin Ashraf in his spell of two overs where he gave away 13 runs.

    Earlier in the day, Afghanistan A skipper Darwish Rasooli won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, the Afghanistan side scored 206 runs for the loss of four wickets in their 20 overs.

    The highest scorer for the side was Sediquallah Atal who scored 83 runs off 52 balls with the help of seven fours and four sixes in his innings. Zubaid Akbari also scored a valuable fifty for his team. He went back to the pavilion after scoring 64 runs from 41 balls which included five boundaries and four maximums in his innings.

    For India, the pick of the bowler was Rasikh Salam who picked three wickets and conceded 25 runs in his spell of four overs. One wicket was taken by Aaqib Khan in his spell of four overs where he leaked 48 runs.

    India’s Ministry of External Affairs has issued a strong response to the Canadian government’s allegations, stating that while the Trudeau government is accusing India by mentioning Lawrence Bishnoi, it has shown leniency toward criminals associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. India has sent 26 extradition requests to the Canadian government, but no action has been taken. Furthermore, India has also appealed in 29 cases where wanted criminals should have been arrested, but Canada has failed to act on those as well.

    Surprisingly, Canada is ready to sacrifice its diplomatic relations with India for Khalistani terrorists. These terrorists often carry out large protests across Canada against India and have attacked Hindu temples across the country and even in the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia in the past. The protest by Khalistani terrorists often create chaos and lead to a security situation. However, despite the fact, that Canada is harboring these declared terrorists for petty gains.

    Canada’s determination to sever diplomatic ties over the issue of Khalistani terrorists reflects that Justin Trudeau’s policies are purely driven by vote-bank politics. In an effort to appease certain groups, Trudeau has once again targeted India. While Trudeau claims to prioritize public safety, the actions of his government tell a different story. Here’s a significant piece of evidence: On May 17, 2024, Zee News requested data from the Canadian government regarding the entry of Khalistani terrorists into Canada, and the Canadian government shared shocking data.

    In 2021, 141 individuals with ties to Khalistani terrorism sought asylum in Canada, and 36 of them were granted entry. In 2022, the number of such applicants increased to 801, with 428 receiving approval. In 2023, 618 applications were submitted, explicitly stating support for Khalistani terrorism, and 364 individuals were allowed entry. By March 2024, 119 applications were submitted, and Canada approved the entry of 78 people with connections to Khalistani terrorism.

    This data highlights Trudeau’s policies of appeasement, raising serious questions about the government’s commitment to public safety while allowing individuals with terrorist links into the country. Justin Trudeau is arguing for the security of Khalistani terrorists in his country but by sheltering Khalistani terrorists, he is posing a threat to India’s security. These statistics expose the double standards of the Canadian Prime Minister.

    Trudeau has also failed to understand that the Khalistani terrorists and Lawrence Bishnoi gang members have deep connections with Pakistani terrorist organizations. Sooner or later, if Trudeau fails to put a leash on them and cooperate with India over New Delhi’s extradition requests, it is only going to create internal anarchy for Canada. Meanwhile, Canadians can only hope Trudeau will return to his senses in time, else, the day is not far when Canada will turn into another Pakistan by becoming a home to multiple terror organizations.

    After India, now China has also confirmed to have reached a border dispute settlement agreement with India. China Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian told a media briefing that both sides have reached a resolution and it will continue to work with New Delhi on the issue. “We have resolved the relevant matter, will work with the Indian side to implement the solution. We are in close communication through diplomatic and military channels,” said Jian.

    On October 21, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced that India has reached an agreement with China regarding patrolling arrangements along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). The announcement came ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Kazan, Russia, for the 16th BRICS summit that begins today and is scheduled to run till October 24.

    “This agreement is the outcome of extensive discussions over the past several weeks with Chinese interlocutors at both diplomatic and military levels,” said Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri. He noted that military commanders have been involved in negotiations aimed at addressing the tensions that have persisted since 2020.

    Misri explained that the agreement signifies a path toward disengagement and a potential resolution of the issues that arose during the significant confrontations in 2020. “Now, as a result of the discussions over the last several weeks, an agreement has been reached on patrolling arrangements along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the India-China border areas. This is leading to disengagement and eventually a resolution of the issues that arose in these areas in 2020,” he said.

    The agreement marks a crucial step in stabilizing relations between India and China as both nations work to manage their border disputes and avoid further military confrontations. In early May 2020, troops from China’s People’s Liberation Army and the Indian Army clashed at locations along the LAC, the disputed boundary between China and India.     New Delhi: India has successfully test-fired the indigenously developed VSHORADS missiles in Pokhran firing ranges in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The three tests of the Very Short Range Air Defence System were carried out by the DRDO in the Pokhran range of Rajasthan as part of development trials.

    Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO, the Indian Army and industry involved in the successful development trials and stated this new missile equipped with modern technologies will give further technological boost to the Armed Forces against aerial threats.

    “The DRDO India has successfully conducted three flight tests of the 4th Generation, technically advanced miniaturised weapon system VSHORADS, from Pokhran. Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh has congratulated DRDO, the Indian Army and industry involved in the successful development,” posted the Defence Minister’s office on Saturday. The missiles have been under development for the last few years and are expected to meet the critical requirements of the forces to tackle enemy aircraft, drones and other aerial targets at short ranges.

    The forces rely on the Russian Igla missiles for their requirements but have felt the need to modernise their inventory for over a decade now. The development cum production partners in the VSHORADS project are two private companies. Earlier on Friday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, while addressing the Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue (IPRD) 2024 in New Delhi, expressed India’s support for a peaceful resolution to disputes and has sought to promote cooperation among nations in the Indo-Pacific.

    “India has consistently advocated for a peaceful resolution to disputes and has sought to promote cooperation among nations in the Indo-Pacific, with a strong emphasis on the centrality of ASEAN in fostering regional dialogue, stability, and collective growth,” he said. Rajnath Singh underscored India’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of vital international maritime routes. He further said that the engagement with regional partners, including joint exercises and information-sharing initiatives, is aimed at strengthening the collective maritime security framework.

    He underlined that the Indian Armed Forces, particularly the Navy, have been at the forefront of cooperative endeavours with countries of the region, and are continuously working towards building their capacity and capabilities, the Ministry of Defence stated.”While India’s endeavour for maritime cooperation continues, its interests are not in conflict with any other country. 

    At the same time, the interests of any other nation should not come in conflict with those of other nations.     Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu is expected to visit India starting on October 7 as per sources.

    This will mark Muizzu’s first standalone bilateral visit to the country since assuming office last year.

    Recently, on the sidelines of the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, Muizzu told ANI, that he is planning to visit India as soon as possible. He also praised the “very strong” bilateral relationship between the two countries.”

    “I am planning to visit (India) as soon as possible…We have a very strong bilateral relationship,” Muizzu told ANI.

    This will notably be the second time that Muizzu is visiting India this year after attending the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier this June.

    It is pertinent to note that earlier almost every Maldivian President used to make his first foreign visit to India, but Muizzu changed the trend by first visiting Turkiye and then China, after assuming office.

    The Mohamed Muizzu government in the Maldives took a conciliatory tone after ties with India soured, leading to a diplomatic row.

    Since coming to power, Muizzu has taken several steps that have been unconventional from the point of view of India-Maldives ties. He ran his entire presidential campaign on the lines of ‘India Out’. The removal of Indian troops from the country was the main election campaign of Muizzu’s party.
