  • Police arrested four suspects, 206 mobile phones recovered, could have been used on a large scale in cyber fraud

    Baikunthpur (Korea). Korea police has arrested four suspects and recovered 206 mobile phones from them. All the four accused are residents of West Bengal and Jharkhand, who used to buy old mobile phones by giving household items. The case is from Patna police station area of ​​Korea district. These mobile phones could have been used on a large scale in cyber fraud. The arrested accused have sold stolen mobile phones in Kolkata earlier as well.

    According to the information, on 6 August 2024, Superintendent of Police Korea received information from an informer that some people from West Bengal are roaming around in the police station area towards village Anjokhurd. They have a large number of mobile phones with them. They ask for old phones from people and give them essential household items. The Superintendent of Police got suspicious about this. The SP directed the police station in-charge Patna to take necessary legal action.

    On the instructions of SP, the team of Patna Police Station reached the spot and raided the place, where four persons Riazul Haq, Sendu Sheikh, Farooq Sheikh and Ibadu Rehman were found roaming in suspicious condition. On interrogation, all of them said that they were from West Bengal and Jharkhand. The sack kept with them was checked, from which a sack full of mobile phones of different companies was found. All the mobiles were recovered in front of witnesses and counted, in which a total of 206 mobiles of different companies were recovered. Notice under Section 94 BNSS was given to the four suspects regarding the ownership of the mobiles recovered from them. In the absence of valid documents, all the four accused were arrested and legal action was taken. The accused told that they take all the mobiles to Calcutta and sell them in different shops.

    It is worth mentioning that places like West Bengal, Jamtara are the main centers of online fraud in the whole country, where mobiles can be used in this way. On the basis of this suspicion, the suspects were caught and 206 mobiles were confiscated and further action was taken.

The hostel building can cause a major accident anytime.

    The students made serious allegations against the superintendent Satyabhan Bhaskar and said that the superintendent drinks alcohol and abuses the children. The superintendent enters the children’s rooms at midnight every day and beats them. He wakes up the sleeping children and beats them with sticks and belts. All the children are terrified and have gathered courage and left the ashram. The students say that they will not go back without meeting the collector and if action is not taken against the superintendent, it will become difficult to stay in the ashram.   • High speed bike collides with trailer, one youth dies, two injured

    Manendra Patel, Bhilai. Last night, three bike riders collided with a trailer going ahead at the signal in Khursipar Gate Bhilai. In this accident, a young man riding the bike died, while his two companions are seriously injured, they have been referred to Durg District Hospital for treatment. Police has seized the trailer and started investigating the incident.

    According to the information received from Khursipar police station, the deceased has been identified as Lokesh Chandel (23 years) resident of Janjgir-Champa. Lokesh used to work as a porter in Daldal Seoni of Raipur. He had come to Durg with his two friends for some work. From here, all three were going from Bhilai to Raipur on the same bike. Lokesh’s friend was driving the bike and Lokesh was sitting behind. All three had consumed alcohol. They were driving the bike very fast in an intoxicated state. A big trailer was going ahead of them.

    At around 9.30 pm, as soon as the red light came on at the signal near Khursipar Gate, the trailer driver applied brakes and stopped the vehicle. The bike rider coming from behind could not control and the bike directly collided with the rear of the trailer. Lokesh got a severe head injury and fell unconscious on the spot. Lokesh died before reaching the hospital. Two companions are injured, who are undergoing treatment. Khursipar police has seized the trailer and started investigation.
