  • Making video on railway track proved costly, accused YouTuber arrested by RPF

    Raipur. Railway Protection Force (RPF) has arrested a YouTuber for making videos endangering public safety by criminally tampering with railway tracks for his own publicity. An immediate investigation was conducted after a viral video on Twitter showed a man placing various objects on the railway track. Investigation revealed that the culprit Gulzar Sheikh has uploaded more than 250 videos on his YouTube channel and has more than 2 lakh subscribers. His on-camera activities posed a major risk to both railway safety and operations.

    After a detailed analysis of Sheikh’s YouTube profile and social media presence, the RPF registered a case under various provisions of the Railway Act on August 1. Following this, a joint team of RPF and local police arrested Gulzar Sheikh, son of Syed Ahmed, from his residence in Khandauli village, Soraon (Allahabad), Uttar Pradesh.

    Director General RPF, Lucknow Division appreciated the prompt and effective action taken by the RPF. He said that legal action against Gulzar Sheikh will serve as a strong deterrent to persons attempting to compromise the security of Indian Railways. He reiterated the importance of railway security and assured the public that any attempt to undermine rail security will be met with determination and strict legal action and those involved in such activities will be prosecuted to ensure maximum punishment.

  • CG Weather Update: Red alert for heavy rain in Surguja, yellow alert for heavy rain in 20 districts of the state and orange alert in five districts

    Raipur. In Chhattisgarh, Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg and Bastar divisions have been receiving continuous good rains for the last 3 days. So far, the least rainfall has been recorded in the Sarguja division. But now there is a possibility of good rains in the Sarguja division as well. The Meteorological Department has today issued a red alert for heavy rain in almost all the districts of the Sarguja division of the state. At the same time, a yellow alert for heavy rain has been issued in 20 districts of the state and an orange alert in 5 districts.

    The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, Bilaspur, Raigarh, Mungeli, Bastar, Dantewada, Bijapur, Sarangarh, Bilaigarh, Sakti and Janjgir districts of the state.

    An orange alert for heavy rain has been issued in Surguja, Jashpur, Korea, Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, and Korba districts. A red alert for heavy rain has been issued at one or two places in Surajpur and Balrampur districts.

    On Friday, some districts including the capital received light rain and Balodabazar, Dantewada, Kanker, Mohla Manpur, Narayanpur, Sukma, Balod received good rain. Bijapur recorded the highest rainfall of 1406 mm. Surguja division received the least rainfall.

    People and dozens of cattle were struck by lightning

    On one hand, farmers are happy due to continuous good rains in the state, while on the other hand, rivers and streams are overflowing. Cases of cattle and people getting struck by lightning have come to light at many different places. In Balrampur, a mother and son died after being struck by lightning while working in the field.

    On Saturday morning, 5 girls planting saplings in the field in Sogda village of Jashpur district were struck by lightning. However, all the girls were immediately admitted to the hospital for treatment, after which the condition of all five girls is normal. On the other hand, the havoc of lightning was seen in Bartikala and Lurgikala of Balrampur district, where dozens of cattle died due to lightning along with heavy rain, including cows, goats and buffaloes.

Actually, due to railway track maintenance, the railway has canceled more than 72 trains on different dates. At the same time, it has been decided to cancel 5 trains midway and run 22 trains via a diverted route. This inconvenience will continue till August 19.

    According to the railway administration, under the Rajnandgaon-Nagpur third rail line project, a 228 km long third rail line is being constructed at a cost of Rs 3540 crore. In this episode, electronic interlocking work will be done to connect the third railway line to Kalamna railway station between Rajnandgaon-Kalamna rail section of Nagpur Railway Division of South East Central Railway. Under this work, pre-non interlocking will be done from 4 to 13 August 2024 and non interlocking from 14 to 19 August 2024. Due to which the operation of trains will be affected, the railways has requested the passengers to check the updated status of their train online before starting the journey.

  • Government’s initiative to deal with kidney disease in Supebeda, Health Minister Jaiswal gave details of special works in a special conversation with Lalluram.com

    Satyapal Rajput, Raipur. People are dying of kidney disease due to lack of pure drinking water in Supebeda village of Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh. Lalluram.com raised this issue on priority. After which the state government has now formed a special team to prevent serious kidney disease in Supebeda.

    Let us tell you, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal while giving information about this said that people are dying due to kidney disease in Supebeda area for many years. Now concrete steps are being taken to find a solution to this problem.

    Health Minister Jaiswal said that three major works are being done in this direction:

    Formation of research team: A team of 7 specialist doctors has been formed to find out the causes of the disease in Supebeda, which is headed by MD NHM. This team will do an in-depth study of the local water, soil, environment and climate. Immediate medical facilities: Dialysis facility has been implemented with immediate effect, in which 5 nephrologist doctors have been deployed. Along with this, 4 ambulances have also been deployed. Water supply system: Arrangements are also being made for the supply of pure drinking water to the local people, so that the disease can be controlled.

    According to information, 140 people have died so far due to kidney disease in Supebeda and 70 people have been found positive, whose treatment is going on. Earlier, patients had to travel 200 km to Raipur, due to which many patients died on the way.

    To deal with this situation, the Health Minister has taken this initiative to provide facilities of pure drinking water along with health facilities. With this effort, the people of the area are expected to get relief from the disease.   • Tragic accident in CG: Minor’s head stuck in the lift of an electrical shop, dragged for 10 feet, died on the spot

    Bilaspur. A heart wrenching incident has come to light from the judicial capital Bilaspur. Here, the head of a minor working in Vishal Electricals Shop located in Juna Para got stuck in the open lift while carrying electronic goods to the fourth floor. After this, he reached the fourth floor by dragging his head for 10 feet from the lift and the wall. Due to which he died a painful death on the spot.

    When the shop owner Bharat Hariani reached the shop, he saw blood flowing from near the lift, after which he hurriedly reached the fourth floor and was shocked to see the scene in front of him. After which he informed the police about the incident.

    After getting information about the incident, the City Kotwali police reached the spot and started investigating the case. In this case, Kotwali police station in-charge SR Sahu confirmed the incident and said that the name of the deceased is Sumit Kewat (age 15 years). He used to work in Vishal Electricals Shop. He told that today at around 11 am, when he was taking some goods to the fourth floor of the shop, his head got stuck in the lift, due to which he died on the spot.

    It is worth noting that according to the labor law, no minor can be made to work in a private institution, but a 15-year-old boy was working in an electronic shop. Due to which questions are being raised on the shop owner for making a minor work. At the same time, the shop owner Bharat Hariani says that Sumit did not work in his shop. Sumit’s mother works in his house for the last 15 years, during this time she used to leave her son for four hours. Sumit did not even come to work every day. He came today after three days, when this accident happened.

    Kotwali TI SR Sahu said that a notice has been issued to the shop owner, in which documents have been sought from the Municipal Corporation on permission for a 4-storey shop and the rules of the lift. A letter has also been sent to the Electricity Department so that the safety standards of the lift can be checked and a report can be obtained. Further action will be taken on the basis of the report and documents.

    Hakeem Nasir, Mahasamund. The campaign being run for TB free India is now visible on the ground. As a result of this campaign, 292 village panchayats of Mahasamund district have become TB free. For this achievement, the Government of India has given the Panchayats the certificate of ‘TB free Panchayat’, while the villagers including the health staff are also happy with this achievement.

    Under the National Tuberculosis Eradication Program, Mahasamund district had the target of TB elimination by 2025. This target is to be achieved five years before the deadline of 2030 set by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Between January 2023 and December 2023, 292 panchayats out of 551 panchayats of the district were selected and 30 people per thousand population were examined in the potential gram panchayats. In this campaign of TB elimination, the health department of the district, panchayat representatives, voluntary organizations and villagers have worked hard together.

    100% panchayats will be TB free by the end of the year: CMHO

    TB cases were identified and treated through regular checkups, timely treatment and public awareness campaigns, as a result of which 292 gram panchayats of the district have now become TB free. On this success, Chief Medical Officer Dr. P Kudeshiya says that this process will continue and by the end of this year 100% panchayats of the district will become TB free.

    Chhattisgarh is at third place in TB free campaign

    It is worth noting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had taken the initiative of TB free panchayat in the World TB Day program organized in Varanasi in March 2023. Under this, these 292 gram panchayats of Mahasamund district have achieved the goals of TB elimination by measuring and verifying the valid indicators. Chhattisgarh state is at number three in India and Mahasamund district in Chhattisgarh is at the first place in the TB free campaign.
