  • ‘Not A Single Party Contesting 272 Seats…’: PM Modi Takes A Dig At Opposition |

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on opposition parties and said that no political party except BJP is contesting 272 seats in Lok Sabha polls which is a minimum number of seats required to form a government.

Attacking on Congress in Banaskantha’s Deesa in Gujarat ahead of the third phase of Lok Sabha polls, PM Modi said, “If you want to form a government, then at least 272 seats are required. Except for the BJP, no political party in the country is contesting 272 seats, and then they are saying they will form the government.”

“Even the royal family of Delhi is not going to vote for Congress… There is no Congress candidate where they vote… Ahmed Patel’s family in Bharuch will not vote for Congress… A big Congress leader who votes in Bhavnagar, will not be able to vote for Congress. This is the condition of the Congress..,” he added.

Further escalating his attack on Congress, Modi said party targeted him in 2014 as a ‘tea-seller’, had got such a reply from the country that the party which once used to occupy 400 seats, is now being brought down to 40 only.

He alleged that the government that was there before 2014 in Centre was only known for news of terrorism, scams and corruption all around the country.

“This Congress ‘Jamat’ should listen, as long as Modi is alive, there will be no reservation on the basis of religion. Reservations for SC, ST, and OBCs have been given by the Constitution, and no one can take them away,” he added.

PM Modi also challenged the Congress to declare that they would not provide reservations on the basis of religion.
“Today, I want to challenge the prince of Congress and his party to declare that if they have the courage, they will never provide reservations on the basis of religion and will not play with the Constitution. They will not do this because “Dal mein kuch kaala hai,” he said.

PM Modi also emphasised that as long as the BJP is there, reservations will be protected.

“The prince of Congress proudly called the entire Modi and OBC communities thieves. No opportunity is being left to spread hatred against Gujaratis. In 2024, Congress and the INDI Alliance have come up with the new lie that reservations will end. Those who are talking about 400 seats, even today, the NDA has around 360 seats in the Parliament, and parties like BJD and YSRCP, which were not in our alliance, supported us anyway. I had the strength of 400 in Parliament. But we did not commit the sin of withdrawing the reservation,” PM Modi said.

Sharpening his attacks on Congress, the Prime Minister added that even today, Congress has no issues, no vision, and no passion to work. “The country was immersed in despair. I left no stone unturned in my efforts. I spent every moment in the name of my countrymen and the country. I tried to take the country out of that troubled situation. “In 2014, Congress tried to belittle me by calling me “chai wala” and doubted what I could do for the country. I was made fun of. But the country gave them such an answer that the party that once used to occupy 400 seats, now being brought down to 40 only,” he said.

“For them, the lives of daughters like Neha have no value, they think only about their vote bank. Can Congress ever provide safety to your daughters?  In a college campus, in daylight, such dare, they who committed crime know that those hungry for vote bank will save them in a few days.”

#WATCH Uttara Kannada, Karnataka: PM Narendra Modi while addressing the public meeting in Sirsi says, “A few days back, what happened to a daughter in Hubballi, the entire nation is worried about it… In a college campus, in daylight, such dare, they who committed crime know… pic.twitter.com/Gze3YFHUoW

“Even when there was a bomb blast in a Bengaluru’s cafe, the Congress government did not take it seriously initially; they even termed it a cylinder blast initially. “Why are you — Congress — lying to the people of the country, if you can’t, leave and go home,” Modi said.

The Congress for the sake of votes is taking support of banned PFI — the anti-national organisation that supported terrorism. “To win one seat in Wayanad, are you surrendering to them? BJP has banned PFI and has put its leaders behind bars.” he said.

According to reports, Diler passed away while undergoing treatment at the Varun Hospital in Aligarh. Rajveer Diler was rushed to the Varun Hospital on Ramghat Road for treatment after he complained of severe chest pain in the evening. He was declared dead upon reaching the hospital. Rajveer Singh Diler’s mortal remains were later brought to his residence on the ITI Road. The sudden demise of the sitting BJP MP triggered a shockwave throughout the district. Diler’s untimely death is a significant political loss for his party – the BJP.

Several top BJP leaders have expressed grief over his death.

2nd Tragedy For BJP In A Week

After Moradabad, this is the second major blow for the BJP within a week. BJP candidate Kunwar Suresh Singh from Moradabad passed away on the first phase of voting last Saturday

Rajveer Diler won the 2019 Lok Sabha election on the BJP ticket and became a Member of Parliament. However, Diler was not given the ticket to contest the Lok Sabha polls this time. BJP has fielded Anoop Balmiki from the Hathras Lok Sabha seat.

Rajveer Diler, 65, was elected as a legislator from the Iglas assembly seat in 2017. However, he resigned to contest the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Diler won the Hathras seat with a margin of 260,208 votes. He polled 684,299 votes with a vote share of 59.00 per cent and defeated his SP rival Ramji Lal Suman, who got 424,091 votes (36.83 per cent). His father, Kishan Lal Diler, has also served as a Member of Parliament from Hathras.

Rajveer Diler was known for his clean image – the main reason behind his nomination as a BJP candidate in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. While family members and close relatives are grieving over Rajveer Diler’s death, his supporters and political leaders have also started gathering at his residence to offer condolences.

Earlier this week, BJP candidate Kunwar Suresh Singh from Muradabad passed away due to a sudden cardiac arrest at AIIMS Delhi after a brief illness. Suresh Singh was not very active during the election campaigning, but he had reached his Lok Sabha seat on polling day and cast his vote.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, state BJP president Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over his demise.

New Delhi: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav reacted to the incident of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar touching Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday and said that he felt terrible and found it painful to see. Yadav was referring to Modi’s rally in Bihar earlier today ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections where he was joined by Nitish Kumar, Chirag Paswan and other BJP-JDU leaders Nitish momentarily touched PM’s feet.

“Today I saw a picture of Nitish Kumar where he touched the feet of Prime Minister Narendra Modi…We felt very bad. What has happened? Nitish Kumar is our guardian…There is no other CM as experienced as Nitish Kumar and he is touching the feet of PM Modi,” said Tejashwi.

Earlier today, Tejashvi Yadav hit out at PM Modi and called him a “machine of lies.” Reacting to Modi’s statement that leaders of the INDIA alliance are “anti-Sanatan”, RJD leader said, “What is the proof? Am I not a Hindu? There is a temple in my house. Are people of the BJP considering themselves as God? People of BJP should not compare themselves with God. God is watching everything and everyone has to go there.”

In the post on X, Yadav had accused the BJP of indulging in “institutional, organised and systematic corruption”, which was marked by huge donations to the party through electoral bonds and hounding of political adversaries through ED, CBI and IT department.

Yadav, who is named in land-for-jobs scam, pertaining to father Lalu Prasad’s tenure as Railway Minister when he was a minor, had also sought to know why the agencies took no action against leaders of the BJP who faced corruption allegations and how come turncoats from the opposition camp often got reprieve after crossing over.

“I am glad that ever since I started flagging the political dynasts in the BJP-led coalition, the PM has stopped his rants against parivarvad. The very candidate he has campaigned for Bihar comes from a political family,” he said.

He also scoffed at the PM’s claim “I address rallies only to have a darshan of my people” despite being confident of a win in the elections, which is being predicted by surveys.

The RJD leader remarked, “If that is so, why is the PM having a darshan of the people only during election time? The fact is, he is scared. So he is playing mind games. He has been a manufacturer, distributor and wholesaler, all rolled into one, of lies.”

  • ‘He Wants To Divert Attention From Injustice…’: Congress Hits Out At PM Modi Over ‘Muslim League’ Remark |

New Delhi: Congress launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday and alleged that he wants to divert the country’s attention from the issues and the 10 years of injustice under his government.

Congress’ statements come after PM Modi slammed the party over its Manifesto and said it reflects that the party’s thinking resembles those of the Muslim League during the pre-Independence period.

Hitting out PM, Congress general secretary and MP Jairam Ramesh said that PM Modi never talks about the issues of the public and with his Muslim league remarks he wants to divert the public’s attention from real issues.

“The Prime Minister never talks about the public; he wants to divert attention from what the public issues, farmers’ issues, youth issues, women’s issues, and workers’ issues are, which is the reality of the 10 years of injustice,” said Ramesh.

    #CongressNyayPatra को लेकर प्रधानमंत्री की दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण टिप्पणियों पर मेरा बयान।

“They gave a clean chit to China and because of that clean chit, we have become weak today. The Prime Minister says that Congress adopted the policy of the Muslim League, let me remind the Prime Minister, in 1940, 1941 and 42, which person, which party, was in the coalition government with the Muslim League, in Bengal,” he added.

“Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, who was the founder of the Jana Sangh, was the President of the Hindu Mahasabha and he formed a coalition government with the Muslim League. In Bengal, in Sindh and the Northwest Frontier Province, there was an alliance between the Hindu Mahasabha and the Muslim League,” Jairam said.

“Today, if we talk about Congress, they always adopt divisive politics and the Prime Minister is ready to encourage social polarization on any issue,” he added.
Congress manifesto was released at the party headquarters by party leaders Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi on Friday.

Earlier today addressing the rally in Pushkar PM Modi slammed Congress’ manifesto and said that the party’s manifesto is a “bundle of lies” and every page of the document reeks of attempts to “tear India apart.”

“Yesterday the Congress Party released its manifesto, a bundle of lies. Every page of this smells of breaking India into pieces. The same thinking is reflected in the Congress manifesto as was present in the Muslim League at the time of independence. Congress wants to impose the views of the Muslim League of that time on India today,” PM Modi said.
