  • These employees of Chhattisgarh got the gift of old pension scheme; Baghel cabinet approved

    Before Chhattisgarh assembly elections, Bhupesh government has come on action mode. On one hand, the Baghel government is busy fulfilling its election promises. On the other hand, it is taking many important decisions in public interest. In this sequence, a cabinet meeting was held at the residence of CM Bhupesh Baghel on Friday. In this meeting, Bhupesh Cabinet approved the formation of Mahua Board, restoration of Old Pension Scheme and other important decisions.

    In this, it has also been decided to restore the old pension scheme for officers and employees of Chhattisgarh State Power Companies. Its benefit will be available to those employees who have been appointed on or after January 1, 2004. This decision of the government will benefit 10 thousand officers and employees of the power company.

    In the cabinet meeting held at CM House in Raipur, it was also decided to constitute State Mahua Board to promote the collection, value addition, processing and utilization of Mahua. Let us tell you that Mahua trees are found in large numbers in Chhattisgarh. Mahua flowers are also used by humans, animals and birds. Oil is also extracted from Mahua seeds. Its flowers have medicinal properties and its seeds are a good source of healthy fats.

    Due to the availability of Mahua in the state, its use and it being the main source of livelihood of the villagers living around the forest area, it was necessary that efforts be made for its development. To ensure good quality collection and primary processing of Mahua flowers, fruits and seeds, a separate Mahua Board has been created.

    Apart from this, these decisions were approved in Bhupesh Cabinet

    – Zero dismissal proceedings under ESMA Act against the striking officers and employees of the Health Department.
    -Relaxation in the criteria set for making Gram Panchayat Bhoring of Mahasamund district a Nagar Panchayat.
    -Relaxation in the criteria set for making Nagar Panchayat Ambagarh outpost a municipality.
    -Relaxation in the criteria set for making Navagarh Nagar Panchayat of Bemetara district a Municipal Council.
    – Concession for the land allotted by Shri Kalyan Seva Ashram Amarkantak for the construction of Sanskar Study School, Hospital and Cowshala for tribal and backward classes in Chhattisgarh.
    -Decision to upgrade one post of Joint Director approved for deputation in Markfed from Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department to the post of Additional Director.
    -Decision to create two posts of Additional Director in Directorate of Public Instruction, Chhattisgarh Raipur.
