    A 27-year-old man named Akash Maine was beaten to death by a group of men in a road rage incident in Mumbai’s Malad area. He was with his parents when the attack occurred after a dispute over overtaking on Saturday, October 12.

    The victim was reportedly out buying a new car on Dussehra when an auto-rickshaw overtook his vehicle near the Malad railway station. This led to a heated argument with the auto driver. Later, the situation went under control and the driver and his associates attacked Akash which resulted in death.

    The video went viral on social media, capturing the moment Akash was attacked while his mother tried to protect him. In the video, she is seen lying on top of him, attempting to shield him from the attackers, as his father begs them to stop.

    According to India Today reports, police have filed a murder case against the auto-rickshaw driver and three others under the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). 

  • Mumbai: SUV Driven By 17-Year-Old Mows Down Milk Vendor |

    New Delhi:  The tragic incident took place after a 24-year-old man, distributing milk died after a speeding SUV driven by a teenage boy knocked down his two-wheeler in Goregaon, Police said. 

    The incident took place in Aarey Colony around 4 am, when a deceased was distributing milk in the early hours of Thursday.

    The victim identified as Navin Vaishnaw died after a Mahindra Scorpio which was on the wrong side collided with his two-wheeler, said a police official.

    As the accused driver is 17 years old, a case has also been filed against the vehicle’s owner, Iqbal Jivani (48), and his son, Mohammed Faz Iqbal Jivani (21), police said, PTI reported.

    After hitting the two-wheeler, the SUV hit an electric pole. The teenage driver attempted to flee but was apprehended by the police after sustaining injuries.

    His blood samples were sent to a laboratory to ascertain whether he was under the influence of alcohol, the official added.

    Police are also investigating whether the accused had partied with his friends before the accident.

The video also reveals that the couple was not wearing helmets, violating the traffic rules and endangering their lives.

    Bandra Buzz, which shared the video, captioned it as, “This daring duo was spotted at Bandra Reclamation, turning heads with their unconventional scooter ride. @MumbaiPolice we kindly request your attention to ensure everyone’s safety on the roads.” The account tagged the Mumbai Police, urging them to take action against the couple for their irresponsible behaviour.

    Netizens express outrage, call for police intervention

    The video, which has been viewed thousands of times, has sparked an uproar on social media platforms, where users have expressed their outrage and called for police intervention. Some users commented that the couple was setting a bad example for others, while some others mocked their stunt and suggested alternative ways of expressing their love. Some users also pointed out the risk of contracting Covid-19 by such close contact in public.
