  • SSP raided many cafes and restaurants of Raipur late night, action taken against those violating rules, FIR registered against managers and restaurant owners.

For this action, the Senior Superintendent of Police himself had arrived in plain clothes along with his team posing as customers at 1 o’clock in the night. During this, FIR was also lodged against the managers and restaurant owners for operating cafes and restaurants for more than the stipulated period and serving liquor on order. Is registered.     During the operation, the police did intensive checking of hotels and dhabas in Mana police station, Mandir Hasaud, Telibandha and New Rajendra Nagar areas. In this, many accused were arrested from Pintu Dhaba, Paaji The Pind, Sardar The Kitchen, The Living Room Café, Area 36 Restaurant and The Burnt House Café. 32 pauvas of country liquor, 8 liters of English liquor, 13 liters of beer, 1 kg of tobacco, 3 hookah pipes and 3 hookah pots were seized from the possession of the accused.

    During the checking campaign, a total of 5 accused were arrested for consuming liquor in public and action was taken against them under the Excise Act. Action has been taken against some accused under COTPA Act and against six accused under restrictive sections.

  • Loharidih murder case: Former CM Baghel met the undertrial prisoners lodged in Kawardha jail, said- FIR should be registered against SP and police officers

    Pradeep Gupta, Kawardha. Former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel reached the jail today to meet the undertrial prisoners lodged in Kawardha district jail in the Loharidih murder case. During this, he enquired about the well-being of the prisoners and listened to their problems. After the meeting, he strongly targeted the government’s attitude in the case, and also demanded to register an FIR against the SP and other police officers in the case of the death of Prashant Sahu in jail.

    Demand for FIR against SP and other police officers

    Former CM Baghel, while talking to the media, said that the police has hastily removed the villagers from their homes and sent them to jail without any investigation. “The government has information about those who have been arrested, but the government is not giving information about the people missing from the village,” the former CM also demanded that an FIR be registered against the SP and other police officers in the case of the death of Prashant Sahu, who was in jail.

    69 villagers were arrested in the case

    Let us tell you that in the Loharidih murder case, the police had arrested 69 villagers, including 33 women and 36 men. After the death of Prashant Sahu in Kawardha jail, 33 women are imprisoned in Durg Women’s Jail and 34 men in Kawardha District Jail. One person is admitted in Raipur Ambedkar Hospital due to deteriorating condition.

    Bhupesh Baghel was accompanied by several prominent leaders during his meeting with the prisoners in jail, including Daleshwar Sahu (MLA Dongargaon), Indrashah Mandavi (MLA Mohla Manpur), Khujji MLA Bholaram Sahu, District President Horiram Sahu, and District Panchayat member Tukaram Sahu.
