Now Rahul Gandhi is seen traveling in the train like a normal passenger. Actually Rahul Gandhi was present in Chhattisgarh on Monday. Here Rahul Gandhi traveled in Intercity Express. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi traveled from Bilaspur to Raipur Intercity Express and came face to face with the problems of railway passengers. After launching the Chhattisgarh government’s Rural Housing Justice Scheme in Bilaspur, Rahul Gandhi canceled the previously scheduled helicopter trip and traveled by Intercity Express from Bilaspur to Raipur. While traveling in sleeper class, he met the common railway passengers at their seats and inquired from them about the difficulties of rail travel.

    He spoke cordially with the railway passengers and people also openly informed him about the difficulties of rail travel. He also met and interacted with the traveling students. He tried to draw a picture on a student’s notebook. On getting information about Rahul’s train journey of about 110 km, Congress workers and supporters greeted him by shaking hands at the stations along the way.

    State Congress chief Deepak Baij told reporters that Rahul Gandhi also met children during the visit. Every girl Rahul Gandhi talked to was a hockey player. This player told about the poor condition of the hockey ground located in Rajnandgaon district. After talking to Rahul Gandhi, this girl told, ‘I told him that we want a new turf.’ This girl is said to be a resident of Rajnandgaon. During this visit, Rahul Gandhi also took information about the training and other facilities being provided to the players at the Khelo India Center located in Rajnandgaon.

    Rahul’s journey in S-1 coach…

    After addressing the program organized at Parsada located in Sakri near Bilaspur, he reached Bilaspur Railway Station and boarded the Intercity Express like common people. He sat on seat number 68 in S-1 coach and also interacted with other passengers present.

    Let us inform that in this journey, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, State Congress in-charge Kumari Saleja, State Congress President Deepak Baij were also present with Gandhi. On hearing the news of Rahul Gandhi’s arrival at Raipur station, a large number of people reached the railway station. Due to the huge crowd, the security personnel had to struggle a lot to take Rahul Gandhi to the vehicle.

    State Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had earlier written a letter to the Railway Ministry regarding the cancellation of 2,600 trains in the state during the last few months and said that this was causing a lot of problems to the people.
