  • ‘Rahul Gandhi Can Become Prime Minister But Of Pakistan’: Himanta Biswa Sarma |

Assam Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma has been campaigning for the party candidates across states and has been quite vocal about why the NDA is vying for over 400 seats in this Lok Sabha Elections. Addressing a public meeting in Bihar’s Siwan, Sarma said that if the NDA gets 400 seats, it would not only fulfil the promise of the Uniform Civil Code but will also end ‘the business of marrying four times’. Indirectly referring to Madrasas, Sarma said that the NDA government will also ‘shut down shops that produce mullas’. He said that the ‘new India’ led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not need madrassas but modern institutions that produce doctors and engineers.

The Assam CM also added that there won’t be any reservations based on religion and the NDA government would end Muslim reservations. Sarma also said that grand temples would be built in Varanasi and Mathura if the NDA returns to power by winning over 400 Lok Sabha seats.

He was indirectly referring to Gyanvapi row in Varanasi and Shahi Idgah row in Mathura. The Assam CM said the NDA, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will ensure that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, which is an integral part of India, returns to the country.

Invoking the Ram Temple to slam Congress and RJD, Sarma said, “Rahul Gandhi and Lalu Prasad did not attend the consecration of Ram Mandir. They want to send Ram Lalla back to the tent. We must not let this happen.”

Slamming the INDIA bloc over reservations based on religion, Sarma said, “Religion-based reservations should be given to Muslims in Pakistan, not India. Lalu Prasad should go to Pakistan to give reservations to Muslims. The NDA will not allow this at any cost.”

Hitting out at Rahul Gandhi’s PM ambition, Sarma said that the Congress leader can contest elections in Pakistan and become PM there. Sarma also alleged that besides putting up its own candidates, Congress and RJD are also backing Independent candidates in certain seats against BJP nominees.

    Who Is Kishori Lal Sharma?

Sharma is originally from Ludhiana, Punjab. The Gandhi family is thought to be very close to KL Sharma who has been managing the work at Rae Bareli as Sonia Gandhi’s agent for a considerable amount of time.

    History With Rajiv Gandhi

Along with Rajiv Gandhi, Kishori Lal Sharma stepped in Rae Bareli and Amethi in 1983. His bond with the Gandhi family became closer after Rajiv Gandhi passed away. Thereafter, he continued to be connected to the Gandhi family.

Following Rajiv Gandhi’s demise in 1991, Sharma continued to visit Rae Bareli and Amethi, occasionally to cater to the work of Sheila Kaul and other times that of Satish Sharma.
KL Sharma accompanied Sonia Gandhi to Amethi as she made her foray into active politics. KL Sharma assumed supervision of both the Rae Bareli and Amethi seats when Sonia Gandhi moved to Rae Bareli and left the Amethi seat for Rahul Gandhi. KL Sharma began overseeing the work related to the seats of Amethi and Rae Bareli. In addition to leading Amethi, it’s believed that KL Sharma will continue to manage Rahul Gandhi’s work from Rae Bareli.

KL Sharma – A Loyal Congress Stalwart

Although members of the Congress began to leave over time, KL Sharma has always been incredibly loyal and dedicated. He switched between being in charge of Bihar and joining the Punjab committee. At times, he continued to be an AICC member, while at other times, he held control of the electoral arena.

  • Who Is Deepak Babaria? The AICC Gen Secy ‘Behind’ Delhi Congress Chief Arvinder Singh Lovely’s Resignation |

Arvinder Singh Lovely, the Delhi Congress chief, has resigned. This move deals a significant blow to the Congress party during the Lok Sabha elections. Lovely attributed his decision to an alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Deepak Babaria, the AICC Delhi incharge. On Wednesday, Arvinder Singh Lovely expressed his displeasure with the Congress general secretary’s performance in a four-page letter to party president Mallikarjun Kharge.

The Congress Delhi Chief said, “the AICC state in-charge Deepak Babaria is not allowing me to work…he is not permitted to make any appointments in the state.” The in-charge forcibly suspended Rajkumar Chauhan and other senior leaders. “The in-charge got into a fight with Sandeep Dixit and senior leaders.”

He stated, “The AICC general secretary (Delhi in-charge) has unilaterally vetoed all unanimous decisions made by senior Delhi Congress leaders.” Since my appointment as DPCC president, the AICC general secretary has prohibited me from making any senior appointments within the DPCC. My request to appoint a veteran leader as DPCC’s media head was flatly denied. To date, the AICC general secretary has refused to allow the DPCC to appoint all block presidents in the city, leaving more than 150 blocks in Delhi without block presidents.

    Who Is Deepak Babaria?

Deepak Babaria is the AICC’s general secretary (in charge of Delhi). Babaria, a Gujarat-based leader, began his Congress career in the 1970s with the NSUI and Youth Congress.

He was handpicked by Rahul Gandhi for various responsibilities. Rahul Gandhi handpicked him for various responsibilities. Babaria, known as a close confidante of AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi, is currently in charge of the party’s Delhi and Haryana units. He has also served as the AICC General Secretary in charge of Madhya Pradesh. Babaria had previously been in charge of Kerala.

Arvinder Cites AAP Alliance As Reason Behind His Resignation

Expressing his dissatisfaction with the party’s alliance with the Aam Adami Party (AAP) in the national capital, he stated, “The Delhi Congress unit was opposed to an alliance with a party that was formed solely on the basis of levelling false, fabricated, and mala fide corruption charges against the Congress party, and whose half-cabinet minister is currently in jail on corruption charges. Despite that, the party decided to ally with AAP in Delhi.”

Lovely expressed his dissatisfaction with the selection of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections for the Delhi seat. Despite this, the party chose to align with the AAP in Delhi.”

He stated, “…given the limited number of seats granted to the Congress party in the alliance in Delhi, in the interest of the party in Delhi and to ensure that the tickets are allotted to senior Congress colleagues, I publicly withdrew my name and opted out of being considered as a potential candidate.” While rejecting the views of the DPCC, all observers, and local party workers, the North-West and Northeast Delhi seats were given to two candidates who were complete strangers to the Delhi Congress and party.”

  • Kerala Lok Sabha Elections 2024: 25.61 % Polling Recorded Till 11 Am, Check Key Candidates And Phase 2 Polling Constituencies |

Kerala Lok Sabha Elections 2024: 25.61% of polling was recorded  till 11 am in Kerala’s 20 Lok Sabha seats for the 2024 general election after commencement of voting at 7am on Friday. People began arriving at the state’s over 25,000 polling booths early in the morning to avoid the expected hot weather later in the day. During the election, over 66,000 security personnel were deployed and a webcasting system was used to monitor the process.

Voting began with a mock poll that included votes for all candidates, including NOTA, listed on an EVM.
According to the EC’s instructions, at least 50 votes were cast in the mock poll, and actual polling began after the EVMs were cleared. Around 2.77 crore voters will decide the fate of the 194 candidates contesting the state’s 20 Lok Sabha constituencies.

Will the BJP’s drought in Kerala end? Will Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s sharp attack on the Congress boost turnout after a relatively muted voter enthusiasm last week? These are some of the questions on people’s minds ahead of the second phase of Lok Sabha elections.

Key Candidates In Fray In Kerala Lok Sabha Elections:

Among the notable candidates contesting in this phase are Congress leader Rahul Gandhi from Kerala’s Wayanad, where he faces the CPI’s Annie Raja and state BJP chief K. Surendran, and Congress’ Shashi Tharoor vs BJP’s Rajeev Chandrasekhar in Thiruvananthapuram.

Two union ministers, the majority of sitting MPs, a state minister, three actors, and a few MLAs were among the candidates who tried their political luck this time in Kerala, where the CPI(M)-led ruling LDF, the Congress-led UDF, and the BJP-led NDA all ran active and aggressive poll campaigns.

The BJP is relying on actor Suresh Gopi, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar, and Anil Antony, the son of veteran Congress leader A K Antony, to establish a presence in Kerala, which has never elected a BJP MP. Chandrasekhar faces three-time Congress MP Tharoor in Thiruvananthapuram.

  • ‘Lies, Hate Speech’: Congress Claims PM Modi’s ‘Wealth To Muslims’ Remark Shows INDIA Is Winning 1st Phase Of Polls |

In a fiery rebuttal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s allegations, the Congress party claimed on Sunday that the PM has resorted to “lies” and “hate speech” to divert the public’s attention away from real issues, following a “disappointment” in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections. The counterattack came in response to PM Modi’s claim that if Congress wins power, it will redistribute wealth to Muslims, citing former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s statement that the minority community has the first claim to the country’s resources.

At a rally in Rajasthan’s Banswara, Modi claimed that the Congress intends to distribute people’s hard-earned money and valuables to “infiltrators” and “those who have more children”.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge retaliated, claiming that no prime minister in India’s history has degraded the dignity of the office more than Modi. He accused Modi of using “lies” and “hate speech” to divert attention, and claimed that the Prime Minister’s actions reflect the values of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

Kharge also claimed that lying for power, making false references, and levelling baseless accusations against opponents are hallmarks of the Sangh and BJP’s training. He promised that the country’s 140 crore people would no longer fall for such “lies”.

Kharge siad that the Congress manifesto is for all Indians and promotes equality and justice for all, claiming that the party’s Nyaya Patra is founded on truth.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi stated that after “disappointment” in the first phase of voting, “the level of lies of Narendra Modi has fallen so much that he now wants to divert the people’s attention from the issues as he is rattled”.

The trends of massive support for Congress’ “revolutionary manifesto” have begun to emerge, Gandhi stated in a Hindi post on X.

“The country will now vote on its issues, including employment, family, and the future. “India will not be diverted,” the former Congress chief stated.

In his remarks in Rajasthan, Modi said, “The Congress manifesto states that they will calculate the gold with mothers and sisters, gather information about it, and then distribute that property. They will distribute it to whom- – Manmohan Singh’s government stated that Muslims have the first right to the country’s assets.”

“Previously, when their (Congress) government was in power, they stated that Muslims have first priority over the country’s assets. This means, to whom will this property be distributed? “It will be distributed to those who have more children,” the prime minister stated.

The Congress has stated that its manifesto does not mention “redistribution” and that it supports a “comprehensive socio-economic caste census”.
