Rajasthan Assembly elections: BJP has released the second list of its candidates for Rajasthan Assembly elections. There are names of 83 candidates in this list. Former Chief Minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje has been given ticket from Jhalrapatan, she is the MLA from here. Satish Punia has been given the ticket from Amber, while Jyoti Mirdha has been given the ticket from Nagaur.
Rajendra Rathore was given ticket from Taranagar.
Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Rajendra Rathod has been given ticket from Taranagar. Santosh Ahlawat has been given ticket from Surajgarh. Siddhi Kumari from Bikaner East and Santosh Bawri from Anupgarh (SC) are in the fray.
Central Election Committee approved 83 names
The Central Election Committee of BJP has approved these 83 names in the meeting held under the chairmanship of party president JP Nadda on October 20. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah were present in this meeting. The decision on these names has been taken with their consent. Earlier the party had released the list of 41 candidates. The party has declared the names of a total of 124 candidates so far. Voting is to be held in Rajasthan on 25th November and counting of votes will take place on 3rd December.
Congress released the first list of 33 candidates
It is noteworthy that Congress has also released the first list of 33 candidates for the Rajasthan Assembly elections today. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s name is also in this list. Apart from these, names of CP Joshi and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot are also in the list. According to the Congress list, Ashok Gehlot will contest elections from Sardarpura only. Sachin Pilot will contest from Tonk assembly constituency from where he is the MLA. Congress has given ticket to Assembly Speaker CP Joshi from Nathdwar.

The voting date has been fixed for November 25 and the results will be declared on December 3.
Important meeting in Congress’s ‘war room’
