The war between Russia and Ukraine has been going on for the last one and a half years. Russia launched a massive attack on a port in Ukraine’s Odessa region on Sunday. For about three and a half hours, Russian drones continued to wreak havoc on Ukraine. Two people have been injured in this attack, who have been admitted to the hospital.
Moscow carried out this attack a day before the meeting between President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Putin and Erdoğan are scheduled to discuss in the Russian city of Sochi on Monday the restoration of a grain export agreement from Ukraine via the Black Sea. Russia withdrew from this agreement in July.
The Ukrainian Air Force said in a telegram message that the Russian army attacked the banks of the Danube river on Sunday morning with 25 Shahid drones manufactured in Iran. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s Chief of Staff Indriya Yermak said that this attack was carried out by Russia to increase the food crisis and starvation in the world.
Here, two people were killed and two others were injured in the firing by Russia on Vuhledar village in Donetsk region of Ukraine on Sunday. Ukraine’s National Police said in a Telegram message that eight settlements in the area were attacked with artillery.
Ukrainian prosecutors announced on Sunday that they are investigating under war crimes provisions the death of a policeman who was hit by Russian fire in the Sardinia-Buda area on Saturday. Two other policemen and a civilian were injured in the said incident which took place in the north-eastern Sumy area of Ukraine.
At the same time, Ukraine also carried out drone attacks on Russia yesterday. Ukrainian drones had wreaked havoc on many other areas including Peskov in Russia. This was Ukraine’s deadliest attack amid the 18-month-long war. Russia has also suffered a lot in this attack. The Ukrainian drone had targeted an airport in the western Skov region of Russia. There was a huge fire there after the attack.
Ukraine has been continuously attacking Russia through drones for the last few months. Ukraine is targeting many other cities including the capital Moscow. Some Russian buildings have been badly damaged in the attack. Earlier, Ukraine had entered the Russian capital Moscow and targeted two buildings.
