Team India’s star batsman Shreyas Iyer has scored a century in the second ODI match being played between India and Australia at Holkar Stadium in Indore. He came to bat at number three and made a partnership of more than 150 runs with Shubman Gill.
Shreyas Iyer played an inning of 105 runs in 90 balls. In this innings, Iyer hit 11 fours and three sixes. While trying to hit a big shot off Sean Abbott, Iyer was caught by Matthew Short on the boundary.
Iyer took charge of the Indian innings after the dismissal of Ruturaj Gaikwad in the second match. With his efforts the team crossed the 200 mark in 30 overs. This is the first century from Shreyas’ bat in the last 11 innings.
