Uber, which provides cab services through the app, has completed 10 years of its business in the country. The company has made more than three billion trips. Recently, Uber also completed 40 million green kilometers. This is the total figure of all its zero emission trips. Uber competes with Ola in the country. According to a media report, the company has launched Uber Scholar to help the children of its driver partners in Delhi NCR and Bengaluru as a celebration of its 10 years in the country. In this, tuition fees and online devices will be provided to 1,000 children from primary education to post graduation. The company honored 100 of its driver partners for their contribution in an event held in 10 cities. The children of these driver partners have been given e-learning devices. Prabhjeet Singh, President, India and South Asia, Uber, said, “Celebrating 10 years of the company is incomplete without our drivers. For us, it’s not just about looking back at our collective achievements, but also about giving back to the communities we serve. It’s also about the people with whom we are connected.” Uber has done 3,300 crore kilometers of trips during the completion of 10 years of its business. For this, the company has thanked more than 30 lakh driver partners associated with its app. The company claims that this number is equivalent to filling the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat 30 times. Driver partners associated with the company have earned an income of more than Rs 50,000 crore during this period. Uber’s app is available in 125 cities of the country. A few months ago, the company had signed a big deal with Tata Motors related to environment friendly transportation. Under this, 25,000 XPRES-T electric vehicles of Tata Motors will be supplied to Uber. Uber will use these electric sedans in its premium category service. The batteries of XPRES–T are 26 kWh and 25.5 kWh. It can be charged from 0-80 percent using fast charging in 59 minutes and 110 minutes respectively.

Maruti Suzuki made highest sales in a month on the basis of SUV
The country’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki has achieved its highest monthly sales in a month in September. Last month the company has sold more than 1.81 lakh units. This is an increase of three percent compared to the same period last year. The demand for the company’s SUVs and other utility vehicles has increased rapidly. Maruti’s Grand Vitara and Brezza are getting good response from customers. The company’s sales in this segment have increased by more than 80 percent. Maruti has the first position in the SUV segment. Its models like Fronx and Jimny also have strong demand. Last month the company’s sales stood at 1,81,343 units. Out of this, more than 1.50 lakh units have been sold in the country. This is an increase of two percent compared to September last year. Sales in the country have crossed 10 lakh units in the first six months of the current financial year. This is the first time that Maruti has crossed the sales mark of 10 lakh units in six months of a financial year. Apart from SUVs, the company also sells MPVs like Ertiga, XL6 and Invicto in the utility vehicle segment. Its sales in this segment have increased by about 82 percent compared to the same period last year. The company has sold 59,271 units in the utility vehicles segment. For this, Brezza and Grand Vitara were the best selling models in this segment. However, the company’s sales in the small and compact segment have declined compared to September last year. Maruti’s exports have also increased last month. The company exported 22,511 units in September. It was 21,403 units in the same period last year. Recently, Maruti’s compact sedan Dzire achieved the sales figure of 25 lakh units in 15 years of its launch. The company claims that the sales of any other compact sedan competing with it have not reached 10 lakh units in the country. Its price ranges between Rs 6.53 lakh to Rs 9.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The compact sedan segment includes Hyundai’s Aura, Honda’s Amaze and Tata Motors’ Tigor. -

The country’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki’s compact sedan Dzire has achieved sales of 25 lakh units in 15 years of its launch. The company claims that the sales of any other compact sedan competing with it have not reached 10 lakh units in the country. Dzire is priced between Rs 6.53 lakh and Rs 9.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The compact sedan segment includes Hyundai’s Aura, Honda’s Amaze and Tata Motors’ Tigor. Maruti’s Dzire can be purchased in Magma Grey, Bluish Black, Oxford Blue, Arctic White, Phoenix Red, Splendid Silver and Sherwood Brown. Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer (Marketing & Sales) of the company said, “The company is committed to offering benchmark products with global quality standards across all segments. Dzire is a testament to the customer preference for the company’s products. We are proud of its 25 We thank our customers for achieving the milestone of selling one lakh units.” It has a 1.2 liter petrol engine. It is available in both manual and AMG variants. The company has offered huge discounts on its cars sold through Arena dealerships in September. A discount of up to Rs 60,000 is being given on eight models of Maruti. Recently, Maruti’s Arena dealerships had crossed the sales of 70 lakh cars. The benefits offered by the company include cash discount, corporate discount and exchange bonus. A cash discount of Rs 35,000 and exchange bonus of up to Rs 20,000 can be availed on WagonR, one of Maruti’s best-selling cars. Along with this, a corporate discount of Rs 4,000 is being given by the company. Its CNG variant is getting a discount of Rs 54,000 including a cash discount of Rs 30,000. On purchasing the company’s Swift hatchback, you are getting cash benefit of Rs 35,000 and exchange bonus of Rs 20,000. Apart from this, a corporate discount of Rs 5,000 is also available. Maruti expects the sales of passenger vehicles to be more than 10 lakh units in this festive season. The company earns 22-26 percent of its total sales in a year during the festive season.
