Indian women’s cricket team has won the gold medal in the 19th Asian Games. On September 25 (Monday), India defeated Sri Lanka by 19 runs in the match played at Pingfeng Campus Cricket Ground, Hangzhou. In this match, while chasing the target of 117 runs, the Sri Lankan team could score only 97 runs for eight wickets. The Indian women’s cricket team was participating in the Asian Games for the first time, so it created history by winning the gold medal in the very first attempt. Sri Lanka had a bad start while chasing the target and lost three wickets for 14 runs. . These three wickets were taken by fast bowler Titas Sadhu. After the fall of three wickets, Hasini Perera made some aggressive shots and took Sri Lanka to the score of 50 runs. Rajeshwari Gaikwad ended Perera’s stormy innings. Perera scored 25 runs in 22 balls with the help of four fours and one six.
