  • BJP releases first list of candidates for Telangana elections, fields 3 MPs

    Telangana BJP Candidate List: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has completed its preparations for the assembly elections to be held in Telangana (Telangana Elections 2023). Under this, today i.e. on Sunday, BJP has released the first list of 52 out of 119 candidates for Telangana Assembly Elections. The party has also fielded three of its MPs including former Telangana state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar in the assembly elections.

    After canceling the suspension of leader T Raja Singh, who was suspended from the party a few days ago, BJP has fielded him from Gausmahal seat.

    The decision was taken in the CEC meeting chaired by PM Modi.

    These names were finalized in the BJP’s Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting held on Friday in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The party has fielded former Telangana state president and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar from Karimnagar assembly constituency, Nizamabad MP Arvind Dharmapuri from Koratla assembly constituency and Adilabad MP Soyam Babu Rao from Boath assembly constituency.

    Social security pension will be increased

    Rao, popularly known as KCR, said that the social security pension will be gradually increased to Rs 5,000 per month in the next five years, which is currently Rs 2,016. According to the manifesto, it will be increased to Rs 3,016 in the first year after BRS returns to power, and then to Rs 5,000 in the next four years.

    The amount given to farmers will be increased

    Similarly, the pension of persons with disabilities will be increased from the current Rs 4,016 to Rs 6,016 in the coming five years, the manifesto said. The manifesto said that under the ‘Raitu Bandhu’ scheme, farmers get Rs 10,000 per acre per year, which will be gradually increased to Rs 16,000 per acre in the next five years.

    Gas cylinder for Rs 400

    It said that after coming to power, BRS will provide gas cylinders to ‘eligible beneficiaries’ for Rs 400 and the remaining amount will be borne by the state government. The BRS manifesto also promises to increase the health insurance cover under the Arogya Shree Health Scheme to Rs 15 lakh, which is currently Rs 5 lakh. Rao said the promises announced by BRS will be implemented within six to seven months of government formation.
