    Big news is coming from Anantnag (Jammu-Kashmir Encounter) of Jammu and Kashmir. Terrorists attacked security forces during a search operation in Anantnag district of South Kashmir. In this encounter, two army officers and a police officer have been martyred. According to the army, the martyrs have been identified as Colonel Manpreet Singh, Major Ashish Dhonchak and DSP Humayun Bhatt. Colonel Manpreet Singh’s age is said to be 41 years, he is a resident of Panchkula, Haryana.

    Major Ashish Dhonchak, who was martyred in the encounter, is a resident of Panipat, Haryana. Whose age is said to be 34 years. The body of the martyred DSP has been recovered amidst heavy firing by terrorists in the dense forests of Kokernag area. According to news agency PTI, a soldier is missing. It is feared that he has been seriously injured in the encounter.

    Along with Anantnag, encounter was going on in Rajouri also since last night. The operation here is now over. Army’s 15 Corps Commander Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police Dilbag Singh and many officers have reached the encounter site to monitor the operation and to bring back the mortal remains of the martyrs and rescue the injured soldiers.

    According to the report of news agency PTI, security forces had received information about 3-4 terrorists hiding in the area. After this a search operation was conducted there. During the raid, the terrorists opened fire on the security forces, after which the encounter started.

    Sources say that after receiving specific information about the presence of terrorists, the army and police started a joint search operation late on Tuesday night. There was firing on the soldiers under the leadership of the Commanding Officer and DSP of Jammu and Kashmir Police. Sources said that security forces were immediately sent to the area, but due to heavy firing by the terrorists, the injured could not be evacuated immediately.

    Army dog ​​also died

    An army dog ​​has also been killed in this operation. The army officer said that the name of the army dog ​​martyred in the encounter was Kent. He saved his handler during the encounter and was himself martyred. Kent was leading a unit of soldiers to search for terrorists. During this time he was shot.

    Operation going on in Rajouri also

    This is the second encounter of security forces with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 24 hours. Earlier, an army soldier was martyred in action during an encounter with terrorists in Rajouri district. While 3 soldiers were injured. In this encounter, security forces also killed 2 terrorists. The operation is currently going on in Rajouri.
