The report of WABetaInfo, a website that tracks the features of WhatsApp, has claimed that WhatsApp has started rolling out the edit message feature for the Windows desktop beta app. The report states that an edit option is visible in the message menu and it allows users to edit sent text messages. It is also reported that this capability is currently available only to select beta testers on the latest desktop app. However, this indicates that the feature may soon be released for everyone. Under this feature, the user can edit a message within 15 minutes of sending it. Obviously, through this feature, users can correct any wrong word or message sent by them. As for the 15-minute time limit, the report says that “the limit on editing messages has been set to maintain the authenticity of the conversation, so that users cannot completely change the message after a long period of time, as the use of this feature This should only be done to correct typing errors.
