Google’s Gemini AI is currently trending with saree-themed images, generating hundreds of millions of images. Users are exploring prompts such as “traditional bridal look,” “Bollywood-inspired saree shoot,” and “festive silk saree portraits” to produce realistic images. Despite the trend’s popularity, questions about user safety are emerging. The Jalandhar rural police have voiced concerns, stating that the Gemini app uses uploaded images for AI training, creating potential risks such as privacy breaches, identity theft, and online fraud. Police advise caution, noting the potential for misuse of sensitive facial data. This trend highlights the quick spread of AI entertainment but stresses the need for digital safety. Individuals are advised to use non-personalized images, rather than their own selfies, if they wish to participate in this trend.
