Bengaluru to Host India’s First AI City Testbed by Bharat1.AI

Bharat1.AI is transforming Bengaluru into a global AI hub with the launch of the ‘Humanity-First AI City.’ This initiative focuses on the creation of agentic and physical AI systems tested in genuine urban environments. The project’s core, the B1 AI Superpark in Sarjapur, spans half a million square feet and serves as a collaborative hub for researchers from IISc and various IITs. The first phase involves validating core AI frameworks with high-quality datasets to ensure safety and reliability. High-performance networking with 400 Gbps bandwidth will support these intensive operations. CEO Umakant Soni highlighted the commitment to building trustworthy AI. Simultaneously, the India AI Impact Summit 2026 is underway, drawing heads of state and ministers to discuss the future of AI in the Global South.
