OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Pulse, a feature that delivers curated information tailored to individual user interests. Pulse works in the background, researching and providing fresh, personalized updates every morning. This approach aims to streamline the user experience by proactively offering relevant information, eliminating the need for users to sift through numerous sources. The personalized updates can range from reminders and follow-ups to recommendations relevant to user goals. Pulse functions as a personalized daily digest, using online habits and ongoing tasks to inform its recommendations. OpenAI intends to expand Pulse’s capabilities by utilizing search history and personal preferences. The feature analyzes user behavior using various data streams, including chat logs, memory settings, and integrated services such as Gmail and Google Calendar. Currently, only Plus users can access ChatGPT Pulse, though broader availability is expected. OpenAI encourages user feedback to enhance its performance and is committed to user privacy and data protection as the feature develops.
