Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chipset is now available, designed to power its next generation of high-end smartphones. Fabricated using a 3nm GAA process, the Exynos 2500 integrates a 10-core CPU, a new Xclipse 950 GPU from AMD with ray tracing capabilities, and enhanced AI performance. The CPU configuration includes a high-performance Cortex-X5 core, several Cortex-A725 cores, and Cortex-A520 cores, offering a 15 percent improvement in performance over the Exynos 2400. The Xclipse 950 GPU allows for stunning visuals on 4K or WQUXGA displays at 120Hz, while the integrated NPU accelerates AI tasks with a 39 percent speed increase compared to the previous generation. The Exynos 2500 also supports advanced camera features, including 320MP single camera setups and 8K video recording. The chip will feature in modern connectivity options, including a 5G modem, Wi-Fi 7, and satellite connectivity for emergency messaging. This release is expected to be in the Galaxy Z Flip 7 next month, though mass production issues may affect immediate availability. The chipset is set to enhance the capabilities of Samsung’s upcoming flagship devices.
